Socialism Vs Capitalism: Which is better

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Socialism principles: All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A…. (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that. These are possibly the 5 best sentences you’ll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Senator Bode Olajumoke: Open Letter To Olusegun Obasanjo The Retired and Tired General.

Your Greed, Selfishness, Naivete, Cowardice and Lack of Patriotism To Your Birthplace Has Made The Yorubas & Igbos A Walking Deads. Thank You.

Let me first of all quote the brave and nobly patriotic Chief Anthony Enahoro after Obasanjo came out of prison and was about to be used as puppet civilian presidet by the Hausas after they killed Chief MKO Abiola and Yoruba mandate.
“I moved the motion for the independence of Nigeria from British rule and if Obasanjo wins this presidency I will be honoured to once again move another motion for the division of Nigeria”.

The build-up to this quotation was too dire to remember. Kudirat Abiola killed by the Hausas on Lagos street, MKO Abiola locked up foreever and the whole Yoruba and Igboland beseiged by the Hausas, innocent Nigerians were dissappearing like spent toys, poverty and graduate unemployment used as collective punishment for Yorubas and Igbos while the Hausas eats bellyfull and throw away left over food. How could the Igbos forget the letter bombing and shreding into body parts of Dele Giwa and the hanging and acid melting of Ken Saro Wiwa by the Hausas.

The Hausas has always openly displayed their agenda for domination and oppression with eternal ambition to eliminate other tribes and inherit Nigeria from all boundaries.

So when Obasanjo was picked by the clever Hausas to quieten the Yorubas for the death of MKO Abiola, the Yorubas and the Igbo saw an opportunity to finally redeem themselves and stand alone as a united nation and leave the Hausas/Fulanis to rot in their god forsaked dry desert with their cows.

I was at Ake palace when Obasanjo came for the campaign for Yorubas to support his candidacy. Music was pouring out of the mouth of the most famous indegenous Egba musician Sefiu Alao like thunder and fire, calling for all Yorubas home and abroad to come home and support the soon to be “Fake” Ebora Owu. 🎼🎼 Obansanjo ti ko’re w’Egba araiye o, eni ba sakolo ko o yaa wale”.🎼🎼 Fa! fa!! faa!!! Faaoo!!!!!

Obansanjo, you openly promised to divide the country so we could go in peace to our Yoruba and Igbo tents. Ebora, you even showed our Obas the hot iron marks used to stamp your bare back as a mark of torture whilst you were in prison following the annulment. ” Unn gbesan, eje ndebe na unn gbesan Ee rapa ehin mi ni? Fuming in his typical Owu dialect whilst showing his torture marks to the Yoruba Obas whose only requests before endorcing his candidacy was nothing but to divide the country so that Yoruba and Igbos could live peacefully on their lands without Hausa/Fulani killings and dominions.

Ebora Ole (coward genie) Anthony Enahoro gave you all the supports of Igboland and promised to move the motion for the cessation of the the nation.

On getting to power Obasanjo started doing what he knows to do best. Steal more government money, steal more people’s land and continued to lick the anus of the Hausa/Fulanis who imposed him upon us and righltly so. With our pain on the assasination of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland and prime indegene of Egbaland who has always being at logerheads with Obasanjo, the only Yoruba and another Egba son that will not take revenge on them as their old time bottom leaker Obasanjo who they know does not care less if Abiola was killed in as much as he get national cake to steal.
Obasanjo, you later brought to fruition your popular saying, “I am not the president of the Yorubas but the president of Nigeria”
Obasanjo, you showed your traitor’s colour when asked by the press 2 years into your evil civilian regime, “What happened to your pledge to divide the country sir”
You shamelessly replied:- “Nigeria Will Never Be Divided On My Head” Naijirian koni tori mi pin. Mission of your puppet masters Hausa/Fulani accomplished isn’t?

But the Hausa/Fulanis knew that as the fake Ebora Owu the whole Yorubaland is looking up to, your productive time on the field of Nigeria politics will soon expire.
Now you are compleletely used, spent and expired. Now the only thing that the Hausa/Fulanis are waiting for is your final exit from the face of the earth, which according to their arithmetical calculation is less than a decade so that they can unleach their full terror on the people you are suppose to represent and defend. The Yorubas.
But when you’re finally gone, please count me out as one of your mourners, mba nefo. If your living gave me no good of what then will you demise be to me.

But you could have saved the Yorubas and Igbos without firing a single bullet, that was why Anthony Enahoro pledged the support of the entire Igboland to team up with the Yorubas to move for our independence from the cattle rearers.

Obansanjo but don’t you worry about us anymore. The cattle colony is growing bigger, thanks to Yoruba traitors and money worshippers like you.
Remenber however that a falling sky is not a single man’s predicament (Orun nwo bo ni, kii se oran enikan)
By the time every available land in Nigerian is taken over by the AK47 and the cows of the Fulanis, your Hill top mansions, your townlike estates event centre and museum in Abeokuta and all your Operation Feed The Nations Farm (OFN) turned Obansanjo Farms Nigeria (OFN) across Nigerian shall become perfect grazing land for Fulani cattles and all shall be littered with cow dungs. Then you better not raise your head or your voice for the Fulanis have promised, “such raised heads shall be chopped off like plants” and because according to the Fulanis female representative in the parliament “God created Fulanis to love their cattles more than themselves and must kill human beings to protect their cattles” you and your children better not resist the invasion of your properties by the cows because no single Yorubaman/woman will come to your aid because when you were in control of the national armoury you did not give us a single gun for self protection but you rather moved the largest military armoury in Nigeria from your hometown Abeokuta to the north during your military rule in order to sooth and calm the nerves of your Hausa/Fulani puppet master and to prove your loyalty and lack of treath to them. As if that is not enough, you myopicly and stupidly moved the capital of Nigeria from Lagos to Abuja thus stripping the Yorubas bare of strenght, power and wealth. Yorubas are never proud of you anyway.

But i know that our ancestors and our God will rise up for our defence and preservation of our land. Amen.

Lastly, it is time for all Yorubas and Igbos not to see this war as a religious war but as a battle for the souls of the Yoruba and Igbolands.
This is not a Christian or Muslim war as according to the Fulani Jihadists, it is a battle against the pagans and infidel Yoruba and Igbos.
Muslims, please dont allow yourselves to be fooled in fighting with the Hausas/Fulanis on Islamic front but we should all see it as Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba/Igbo fight.

Remenber that no Hausa/Fulani will ever allow any Yoruba/Igbo man to lead them as imam in prayers for they regard them as pagans.
Remember what they said when asked by the press about the annulment of Chief MKO Abiola’s election. “Why did the Northerners annul the election of MKO Abiola, a fellow muslim who did more than anybody else to advance the course of islam both at home and abroad?
Answer was simply in four words:- “Mumini Yoruba, Kaafiri ni” meaning A Yoruba Muslim is nothing but a pagan.
So all you Yoruba muslims pls fight with your Yoruba race and not with the muslim Hausa/Fulani because when they will come with their jihad it will be to eliminate all Yorubas who they have branded as Kaffurs no matter their religion.
How many Yoruba muslims have been butchered like dogs on their farmland? Uncountable.
A word is enough for the wise. Wise up Yoruba.

Pls read and make viral until we show Olusegun Obasanjo the fake ebora of Owu his “Failled” report card.

Balogun’s Enlightenment and Alertness Forum.abaolorun: Very true and very real. If you examine very closely his new found gimmick of third force, you’ll discover that it can only help buhari win the 2019 presidential election because it’ll divide the vote of the opposition while buhari fanatic supporters will have their bulk vote and win landslide.

He won the fight but not the war.

Epo ni mo ru, ko ni yangi ma ba t’emi je.

This was a story of two men.

One, called “Elepo” because of the nature of his merchandise, which was palm oil. The other called “Oniyangi” also because of the nature of his own merchandise, which was sharp sand.

One day a long, long time ago which no one living can actually define, Elepo and Oniyangi set out from opposite directions to dispose off their merchandise.

After travelling many days by foot, which was the only means of transportation in those days, they met at a narrow path, which iya agba called “ese-k’o-gb’eji”.

It was such a narrow path that only one person could go through at a time. Elepo insisted on the right of way. Oniyangi would have none of it.

Both argued until other travellers met them there and a long queue soon formed behind both men.

Still, neither Elepo nor Oniyangi would bulge.

According to my grandmother, both had a stubborn streak in them simply because when they were born, the first water used to bathe them was taken from the same river.

According to the customs then, newborn babies were also given the same water to drink. The name of the water is called “kain-kain”.

Having failed to pacify both men, some wise travellers suggested a way out – that both men should slug it out; whoever won the contest should have the right of way.

The suggestion sat pretty with both men.

Quickly, each man set down his merchandise by the roadside and they squared up one to the other.

The battle was ferocious and long; in the end, Elepo had the better of Oniyangi, lifted him off his feet and landed him on the floor.

The crowd roared!

But as Oniyangi hit the floor, one of his outstretched legs caught Elepo’s merchandise and tilted it. Immediately, the content, which was palm oil, gushed out on the bush path.

Furious, Elepo reached out for the merchandise of Oniyangi and flung it upside down on the road and its contents, which were sharp sand, poured out on the roadside.

Oniyangi got up from the floor, dusted himself up, ignored the jeers of the crowd who had started hailing Elepo for winning the bragging rights, as football fans call it these days, and began to pack his merchandise (sharp sand) into its container.

Having done that, he respected the agreement by stepping out of the narrow path for Elepo to have his right of way.

But Elepo stood transfixed on a spot.

His own merchandise had been irretrievably wasted and could not be salvaged as Oniyangi had salvaged his.

Were Elepo to keep throwing out Oniyangi’s merchandise, all Oniyangi would lose was the trouble he would take packing his sharp sand back into the container.

Elepo won the contest, but his victory was pyrrhic. Whereas he won the right of way, he had no more trips to make since his wares had been wasted.

This was the origin of the Yoruba song, “Oniyangi ma ba t’emi je, epo ni mo ru” which warns anyone carrying palm oil to beware of the man carrying sharp sand.

In other words, if you are in a very delicate position, beware of someone who has little or nothing to lose.

President Xi Jing Peng of China said:When I was a small child , I was very selfish, always grab the best for myself. Slowly, everyone left me and I had no friends. I didn’t think it was my fault but criticize others.

My father gave me 3 sentences to help me in life.

One day, my father cooked 2 bowls of noodles put the 2 bowls on the table. One bowl has one egg on top and the other bowl does not have any egg on top. He said ”My child. You choose. Which bowl do u want”. Eggs were hard to come by those days! Only get to eat eggs during festivals or New Year. Of Cos I chose the bowl with egg! As we started eating. I was congratulating myself on my wise choice/decision and wallop up the egg. Then to my surprise as my father ate his noodles, there were TWO eggs at the bottom of his bowl beneath the noodes! I regretted so much! And scolded myself for being too hasty in my decision. My father smiled and sad to me, ”My child. You must remember what your eyes see may not be true. If u intent on taking advantage of people, u will end up losing!”

The next day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles: one bowl with an egg on top and the other bowl with no egg on top. Again, he put the two bowls on the table and said to me, ”My child. You choose. Which bowl do u want?” This time I am smarter. I chose the bowl without any egg on top. To my surprise, as I separated the noodles on top, there was not even a single egg at the bottom of the bowl! Again my father smiled and said to me, ”My child, you must not always rely on experiences cos sometimes, life can cheat u or play tricks on u. But u must not be too annoyed or sad, just treat this as learning a lesson .You cannot Learn this from textbooks.

The third day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles, again one bowl with an egg on top and the other bowl with no egg on top. He put the 2 bowls on the table and again said to me, ”My child. You choose. Which bowl do u want?”. This time, I told my father, ”Dad, u choose first. You are the head of the family and contributed the most to the family. ”My father did not decline and chose the bowl with one egg on top. As I eat my bowl of noodles, Sure in my heart that there is no egg inside the bowl. To my surprise! There were TWO eggs at the bottom of the bowl.

My father smiled at me with love in his eyes, ”My child, u must remember! When u think for the good of others, good things will always naturally happen to u!”

I always remember these 3 sentences of my father and lived and do my business accordingly. True enough, my business was a roaring, success.

AFTER INDEPENDENCE, IN ORDER TO BUILD A GREAT NATION, EACH COUNTRY WENT TO WORK. BUT IN NIGERIA, AFTER INDEPENDENCE (IN 1960), OUR PEOPLE WENT TO PRAY AND FAST. SO, WHILE WE WERE PRAYING, MALAYSIA CAME HERE AND TOOK OUR PALM SEEDLINGS AND BUILT A GREAT FACTORY OF IT. WHILE WE WERE PRAYING, SINGAPORE WENT INTO INVESTMENT IN TECHNOLOGY. WHILE WE WERE PRAYING, INDIA WENT INTO ICT. WHILE WE WERE PRAYING, CHINA WENT TO MASSIVE INDUSTRIALISATION. WHILE WE WERE PRAYING, UAE WENT INTO MASSIVE INFRA STRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT. WHILE WE WERE BINDING AND CASTING LUCIFER, JAPAN WENT INTO TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT. WHILE WE WERE SPEAKING IN TONGUES, DENMARK WENT INTO EDUCATION OF HER CITIZENS. WHILE WE WERE MOUNTING BIG SPEAKERS IN OUR PLACES OF WORSHIP, USA WAS MOUNTING MAN ON THE MOON. After our prayers, God, being a wise God decided to reward us according to our labour. Since those that went into industrialisati on, technology, infra structural development, ICT, education etc have been rewarded accordingly. It’s only wise God rewards us with our efforts in prayers. That’s why today, Nigerian pastors are competing in building the biggest churches. That’s why there are more prayer houses and worship places than hospitals and schools. That’s why people rush to prayer houses for medical and business solutions instead of hospitals. That’s why we don’t do business visibility before jumping into it since we are going to back it up with prayers. And when it collapses, we blame devil. That’s why it’s a sin to say anything negative about Pastors and Imams. That’s why our Pastors don’t consider the opinion of engineers while building and blame devil when the building collapses. That’s why faith in God replaces building pillars and when it collapses we blame it on Lucifer. That’s why our Pastors are making sure they plant Church branches instead of schools on every street in Nigeria. That’s why we always wait for God to do for us that which ability would’ve accomplished. That’s why we want our teachers to labour on earth and go to heaven for their rewards. Nigeria is a prayer loving, God fearing nation. Religion has taken the place of technology, infrastructure, education etc. When travelling, we ignore all the necessary road requirements, servicing of our vehicles and pray. And, once we pray, we can put a half serviceable vehicles on the road and blame our step mothers or mothers in law if anything goes wrong. That’s why there are more people dying on our roads than wild animals in the forest. usafrica-nigerians-africans-binding-casting-lucifer-dubai-went-massive-infra structural-development-prof-abel-idowu-olayinka/

Dead Sea Vs Sea of Galilee
As you probably recall, the Dead Sea is really a Lake, not a sea. It’s so high in salt content that the human body can float easily. The salt in the Dead Sea is as high as 35% – almost 10 times the normal ocean water. And all that saltiness has meant that there is no life at all in the Dead Sea. No fish. No vegetation. No sea animals. Nothing lives in the Dead Sea. And hence the name: Dead Sea.
The other Sea is the Sea of Galilee. It happen that the Sea of Galilee is just north of the Dead Sea.
Both the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea receive their water from river Jordan. And yet, they are very, very different.
Unlike the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee is pretty, resplendent with rich, colourful marine life. There are lots of plants. And lots of fish too. In fact, the Sea of Galilee is home to over twenty different types of fishes.
Same region, same source of water, and yet while one sea is full of life, the other is dead. How come?
Here’s apparently why. The River Jordan flows into the Sea of Galilee and then flows out. The water simply passes through the Sea of Galilee in and then out – and that keeps the sea healthy and vibrant, teeming with marine life.
But the Dead Sea is way below the main sea level that it has no outlet. The water flows in from the river Jordan, but does not flow out. There are no outlet streams. It is estimated that over 7 million tons of water evaporate from the Dead Sea every day. Leaving it salty, too full of minerals and unfit for any marine life.
So the Dead Sea takes water from the River Jordan, and holds it. It does not give. The result? No life at all.
Mind you, the sea of Galilee does not discriminate. It’s gives off its water freely to the open sea this is what keeps it fresh and alive. This is what our dying world needs most today.
Think about it. Life is not just about getting. It’s about giving. We all need to be a bit like the Sea of Galilee.
We are fortunate to have wealth, knowledge, love and respect. But if we don’t learn to give, we could all end up like the Dead Sea. The love and the respect, the wealth and the knowledge could all evaporate like the water in the Dead Sea.
If we get the Dead Sea mentality of merely taking in more water, more money, more everything, the results can be disastrous. Nature communicates to us all the time and this is one perfect example !
In the sea of your own life, make outlets; many outlets. For love, peace, happiness, joy and everything else you get in your life, make sure you don’t just get; give as well.
Open the taps and you’ll open the floodgates to happiness. Make it a habit to share and you will experience the richness of life.
So what? I get into an argument with a man, he slaps me, I feel the pain, yet they tell me I provoked him. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him.
I get into an argument with a man, I slap him, they tell me I have no respect, no home training. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him. Because I am a woman, I don’t have a right to be angry. So, the degree of my innocence is directly proportional to the degree of my silence in the face of oppression and brutality…..
Because I am a woman, my husband cheats on me, I am told to tolerate it to save my marriage. The barbaric and stupid excuse is that ”it is in their nature to cheat, I should slim down, dress better, cook better, pray harder and be more pleasant to him”
I cheat, and I am called a whore, I have committed an abomination, I have no right to look elsewhere for the love and emotional support I lack at home, I am an irresponsible mother.
So I am sent packing, from the home we both built, with all my earthly possessions stuffed into a tiny box on my head. I am henceforth forbidden from seeing my two older children, I’m lucky to be allowed to go with my little one still suckling on my left breast. Three years later, the little one is tagged a bastard. Now, my new name is “after- three”, because I am a woman.
He is 28 and runs a company. He’s tagged wonderful, hardworking, focused, career oriented, successful at a very young age.
I am 28 and I run a company “Hmmmm…. she is not even married, unserious, can not order her priorities right, a hustler, loves money, let her go and get a husband oh” And I wonder if being successful has anything to do with a person’s gender.
Because I am a woman, I am not allowed to have wits or be a prodigy, I cannot be financially buoyant, professionally successful or be treated with respect without a man beside me.
Then I am tagged a generous leg opener, “a runs girl”. They never see the possibility that I actually had to go through ups and downs to get to where I am, because I am a woman.
A man looses his wife to death and remarries a year after, he did the right thing, he’s being praised and congratulated for moving on, after all life is for the living.
A woman looses her husband to death and remarries after 4yrs, “aaah! so early? Are u sure she wasn’t sleeping with that man even when her husband was alive? That was why she killed her husband. She’s a witch! Because she’s a woman.
Because I am a woman, this post will be considered controversial, and everyone will try to correct me. But don’t forget, that I am a woman and it does not make me less human!!!
Share to respect some woman and Tell your woman that you love her : *Who is a woman?????* When she is quiet, millions of things are running through her mind. When she stares at you, she is wondering why she loves you so much in spite of being taken for granted. When she says I will stand by you, she will stand by you like a solid rock. Never hurt her or take her for granted. A very heart touching message by a woman. Someone asked her, Are you a working woman or a housewife? She replied: Yes, I am a full-time working housewife. I work 24 hours a day. I’m a Mum. I’m a Wife. I’m a Daughter. I’m a Daughter- in-law. I’m an Alarm clock. I’m a Cook. I’m a Maid. I’m a Teacher. I’m a Waitress. I’m a Nanny. I’m a Nurse. I’m a Handywoman. I’m a Security officer. I’m a Counsellor. I’m a Comforter. I don’t get holidays. I don’t get sick leave. I don’t get day off. I work through day and night. I’m on call all hours and get paid with a sentence. “What Do U Do All Day??” This Is Dedicated to all women*** A Woman has the most unique character like salt! Her presence is never remembered, but her absence makes all the things tasteless. Pass it to all the lovely ladies…Ur Mother. Ur Wife. Ur daughter. Ur sister & Ur friend. Forward to every woman to make her smile and to every man to make him realize a woman’s worth.
I am a typical Nigerian Doctor
My knowledge is usually perceived as pride. My understanding as arrogance. When a nurse says to eat before paracetamol injection is given and I say, you can give it without food. She feels I am proud and arrogant. When a medical laboratory scientist says the PCV is 30% and patient does not need blood and I say the patient is in circulatory failure nonetheless and he needs to be transfused urgently, he feels I am egotic, stubborn and proud and doesn’t want to be corrected but he isn’t mindful of my clinical knowledge that says any blood loss that causes circulatory failure is an urgent indication for blood transfusion. When the pharmacist says the diazepam I have requested for a tetanus patient is too much and I say spasm is still not controlled and ceiling dose of diazepam not yet reached, he feels I am proud but my knowledge won’t let me keep quiet. I commit my knowledge to giving the best care to my patient and for it I am perceived as being proud. While I am imperfect and at times may really be proud as I am a human, my knowledge betrays me to my observers most times. I have my faults. I have been corrected by nurses severally and I have had to correct them too. I have had prescriptions returned to me for adjustment and I have had to go correct the pharmacists too. I have learnt from the medical laboratory scientists several times and I have had to go educate them too many times. But I observed over time that most of my problems and challenges with other health professionals stemmed from my age and my knowledge being misinterpreted as pride. Most feel ” she is younger than me and she feels she knows more”, “We have been in this profession before she was born” , “How can a girl be telling me what to do”, ” She feels she knows something abi?” And many more. My naivity and humanity makes me want to resist any one who despises my youthfulness and anyone who has issues with what I know. It is a fact that this is Nigeria and our tradition and culture is vested with respect for the elders. This undoubtedly has a bearing in work place relationship and if there will be any smooth running of things, it must be embraced. But of note is the fact that work ethics have been downplayed by cultural rites in work place and so many rifts ensued asuch. Don’t feel big to participate in a ward round by a doctor younger than your last born. Don’t think it absurd to be directed by someone younger. Don’t act uncultured by being disrespectful to a much older ward maid because you are a doctor or a nurse. Let peace reign. Let’s go back to the practise in the 60’s as per work relationship. Let’s stop indoctrinating our students against other health professionals. These are seeds that will grow but we can choose not to plant them. We can choose to make things right.
I love nurses I respect pharmacists I love the medical laboratory scientists I respect the ward maids I love the medical record officers I respect the physiotherapists I love the optometrists I respect the radiographers I love the plaster technicians I respect the CHEW
Please love and respect me too.
May we have a healthcare that works and loves.

The dead horse theory

The tribal wisdom of the Plains Indians, passed on from generation to generation, says that: “When you discover that you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount.”

However in GOVERNMENT today, more advanced strategies are often employed, such as:

1. Buying a stronger whip.

2. Changing riders.

3. Appointing a committee to study the horse.

4. Arranging to visit other countries to see how other cultures ride dead horses.

5. Lowering the standards so that dead horses can be included.

6. Reclassifying the dead horse as living-impaired.

7. Hiring outside contractors to ride the dead horse.

8. Harnessing several dead horses together to increase speed.

9. Providing additional funding and/or training to increase the dead horse’s performance.

10. Doing a productivity study to see if lighter riders would improve the dead horse’s performance.

11. Declaring that as the dead horse does not have to be fed, it is less costly, carries lower overhead and therefore contributes substantially more to the bottom line of the economy than do some other horses.

12. Rewriting the expected performance requirements for all horses.

And, of course…

13. Promoting the dead horse to a supervisory position.

14. Castigating anyone not loyal to the dead horse as being biased cos he/she is not same tribe or religion as the dead horse……..

Ekweme and Otunba Subomi : A Lesson that generousity and goodness rewards

*_During the Nigeria-Biafra civil war, many Igbo people fled other parts of the country for the East because they were being killed and massacred wantonly and the government was doing nothing about it._*

*_Many abandoned their homes, properties and businesses for safety. Of them, was a young Igbo architect who had a young Yoruba banker as a neighbour in Apapa, Lagos. He also abandoned his home and with his family fled for the East._*

*_However, the young Yoruba banker, while the war lasted, rented out his neighbour’s house and kept every kobo for him while he was in the East. After the war, the Igbo architect returned to Lagos and the Yoruba banker handed over the entire proceeds of the rent and also the house to the Igbo architect._*

*_Some few years later, the Igbo architect became the Vice President of Nigeria and the Yoruba banker established a commercial bank, the first by a private citizen in the country’s history._*

*_However, he could not get a license to begin banking operations. Many people were against him because it was unheard of at the time._*

*_At this time, the banker remembered his neighbour who was now the Vice President and tracked him to the Christ Church Cathedral, Marina, Lagos on a particular Sunday. He had tried to get appointment to see him in his office but without success._*

*_He and his wife then decided to go lay ambush for him in Church but the security men did not allow them. They then decided to sit by the pew close to the aisle to beat the security in the hope that the Vice President would see them while he walked to the front row. Yet, he still didn’t see them._*

*_After the church program they positioned that he will see them on his way out. However, the people following him out and security blocked his view. That was when the banker’s wife decided to take a risk and like the woman with the issue of blood, she pulled the Vice President’s cloth to get his attention who then turned and saw his old friend._*

*_The young banker then narrated his plight and told the Vice President how he had tried to see him and what he needed to see him for. He told the him about his application for a bank licence._*

*_“Don’t worry yourself. Just come tomorrow at the Federal Executive Council meeting which I would preside because President Shehu Shagari would not be there,” the Vice President assured him._*

*_By 3.00pm the next day, the Finance Minister called the banker on phone that his licence was ready. The rest they say is history._*

*_That young banker was Otunba Michael Olasubomi Balogun while the architect in this narrative was one of Africa’s elder statesmen and former Vice President of the Republic of Nigeria, late Dr. Alex Ekwueme._* *The bank is what is now First City Monument Bank.*

*_One good turn truly deserves another and it is good to love our neighbours as ourselves._*

Did you know that the USA House Speaker, Paul Ryan, second in line to the presidency of the United States, sleeps in his office? Before he was elected speaker, Paul was a Congressman (Parliamentarian) representing a congressional District in Wisconsin.
In all those years that he served in Washington, he has been sleeping on an an Air Mattress in his office floor since his wife and kids are back in Wisconsin. Paul says that he can only sleep on a bed if his wife is sleeping on it or rent an apartment if his wife and kids are living in it.
When he was elected House Speaker (Speaker of Parliament), a position that comes with a Mansion, he chose not to live in it since his wife and kids did not want to move to the Capital D.C. But it is not just Paul Ryan who sleeps in his office in D.C. Out of the 435 American legislators (Congressmen and Senators) serving their constituents in Washington, 50 of them shower, eat, and sleep in their offices.
In an Interview with the AFP News Agency, Congressman Tim Walberg from Michigan said that he has been sleeping on his office floor since he was elected in 2007. Why? He says it is a good way to save money since house rents in Washington D. C. are ridiculously high.
He also had this to say: “I am not a king, a prince, or a Lord. The people who sent me here (Congress) are the people I serve. And I don’t ever want to get to a point where I believe that because I’m here, I’m better than them.”
Now, 200 legislators also share apartments. You got it right. Three to Five Senators comes together, rent one apartment, share the costs, and live together. They can also buy one car and use it to drive together to work. Yes, these are Senators and Congressmen from the largest economy in the world sleeping in their offices, sharing apartments, and cars.
In America, only the Speakers of both Houses and Senior Congressional Leadership have personal security.
In Ghana and Nigeria for example, every MP’s first priority is a big car, a house, a personal bodyguard. Even local assembly men/women are referred to as Honourable. Refuse to address him/her as such and hell will break lose.
They live in mansions and own not less than 2 cars.

NollyWood Vs Medical Doctors

One of my reasons for the peculiar aversion to Nollywood movies were the hospital scenes which were consistently nauseating, unresearched, unintelligent and embarrassing.

A colleague put words to my irritation. Let me also say the word is ‘diagnose’, not ‘diagonise’

Silverline Asani writes:
Dear Nollywood Producer,
On behalf of your teeming fans and the general viewing public, l’d like to bring a couple of things to your immediate attention.

In as much as we don’t particularly care about your typically unimaginative story lines and equally shoddy performances, my colleagues and I would especially appreciate it if you could be kind enough to desist from misleading the general public on the details of the medical practice as portrayed in the hospital scenes of your movies.

These errors are too numerous to mention, so please allow me to reference just a few.

I know it might come as a surprise to you, but we really don’t always have our stethoscope around our necks. Sometimes we put it in our pockets or just hold it in our hands.
That stethoscope around the neck thing is ,permit me to say, too cliché.
You should switch it around a little.

Also, the general function of the stethoscope is rather defeated if the ear tubings are not inside your ear while you’re using it.
You really can’t see a heart sound.
You’d have to hear it.

The Intravenous line (believe it or not, we call it an “IV line” and not “drip”) is to be placed in the direction of the heart and not away from it.
That mistake is inexcusable.

No, Blood doesn’t look red in a bag.
And no, it’s not black either.

There really is a process to administering CPR on patient.
We don’t just compress their chest randomly and continuously.
It’s real easy to learn.

It’s the commonest and singularly most ridiculous situation you portray.

“There’s more to being an organ donor than just being a spouse or a child to the recipient. That’s not exactly how it works.
Blood Grouping is key.
Use google.

Doctor/Patient confidentiality is indeed a sacred part of our profession.
We really are not permitted to tell a mother that her adult child has HIV.
And vice versa.

Abortion doesn’t kill.
It doesn’t automatically render you infertile either.

A Caesarean Section is the most commonly performed Obstetric surgery.
It’s not that big of a deal.
Stop presenting it as such.
Its also not a bad thing by any degree.

Consent for Medical Procedures can be given by the patient themselves so long as they are above 18years, conscious and has the mental capability to understand the procedure to be done.
Parents aren’t required to give consent for their adult kids.
Same applies to husbands and wives.

Please endeavor to learn the correct pronunciations of Medical terms.
It’s really, really not that hard.
Really, it’s not.

For free, most Doctors will help you with the correct information you need to not make the hospital scenes in your movies the colossal embarrassment it currently is.
It’s okay to ask for help.

Your audience isn’t really as dumb as you’d like to think they are and it’s quite offensive when you suggest as much.
That’s what your lackadaisical attitude to research implies.

Ask questions and make an effort.
Thank you.”

Why Trump fired Rex Tillerson.

Rex Tillerson appointment as US Secretary of State was greeted with mixed feelings, over a year ago, he will go down as one of worst Secretaries of State in the last 50 years with no influence and with damages that may take generation to mend.

Under Rex, 50% of State Department high ranking resigned, and application for new hire fell by 60%, he will be seen as lazy and very indecisive in his actions and very unsecured.

To cover up his failures, he gossiped behind his staff and talked very bad about everyone including his boss President Trump he called moron, though he denied it, unfortunately for him it was on tape.

Rex Tillerson failed to understand his job as a deal maker, in Middle East and Africa, and like a novice his slack had to be done by the President on the phone to help him out.

Furthermore, Rex was fond of holding secret meetings with his host nations like he did in Abuja, in most cases he joined the host nation to talk very bad about Trump and most of them sent the tapes back to President Trump to be on his good book.

With no policy achievements in the last one year, including the Jerusalem issue which President Trump did on his own, it will be difficult if Rex would return to Exxon Mobil or his Ranch in Texas.

Political pundits said he had no personality for job and his influence was also limited, what ever it may be, Rex got paid back for calling Trump a moron and not man enough to accept it when he was confronted.

Lessons from this imbroglio, never take a job you are not detailed about, and if you don’t like your boss quit.

A very old lion lay ill in his cave. All of the animals came to pay their respects to their king except the fox. The wolf, sensing an opportunity, accused the fox in front of the lion:

‘The fox has no respect for your rule. That’s why he hasn’t even come to visit you.’

Just as the wolf was saying this, the fox arrived and he overheard these words. Then the lion roared in rage at him, but the fox managed to say in his own defence:

‘And who, of all who gathered here, has rendered Your Majesty as much service as I have done? For I have travelled far and wide asking physicians for a remedy to your illness, and I have found one.’

The lion demanded to know at once what cure he had found, and the fox said:

‘It is necessary for you to flay a wolf alive, and then take his skin and wrap it around you while it is still warm.’

The wolf was ordered to be taken away immediately and flayed alive. As he was carried off, the fox turned to him with a smile and said: ”You should have spoken well of me to His Majesty rather than ill.”

This is a question for all advocates of gay rights.

1. If your mother and father are homosexuals (gay and lesbian), where will you be today?

2. If you were not born into this world because the parent who were suppose to give birth to you choose to deny you life by being homosexuals, where will you be today to support homo? The simple truth is that, gays and lesbians had violated the fundamental rights of many children by denying them a right to life as contained in the universal declaration of human rights. Human right means rights and duty. You have right to live, but you must not deny others of their life. You have freedom of expression, but you must not deny others of that freedom. By being homo, gays and lesbians had and would trample on the rights of the many unborn children, a right which they enjoy to be ‘HUMAN’. If the parents of gays and lesbians deny them life by being gay or lesbians like they wish, homosexuals won’t be born to life, not to talk of being homo. Let me put it on the record again, there is nothing like human rights without human, and any concept which seek to end human creation and recreation is a great violation of humanity. It is like a right against humanity. On this note, i wish to state that, the rights of being homo is not a human right, but rather,an inhuman right. A right can’t be human and seek to end human existence. If human existence is ended, there would be nothing like human right. MR. RIGHTS.

While growing up, my Late father and hero AKOGUN OLUSEGUN OKEOWO used a unique method to teach us his children financial wisdom.

While building his first house, we were required to do labour work for a fee.

Myself and my sisters ferried hundreds of cement blocks with our heads to service bricklayers as they worked.

My father actually paid us for this service.

It was my first work experience and it helped me to appreciate the value of money.

Today, my wife runs a small Poultry both for passion and to augment family income.

Yesterday, I requested my children to go out and join in the sales of Christmas Chickens.

They were required to drive the chickens in a spare vehicle to a popular junction and stay there whole day to make sales.

After two days of hard work, I asked my older daughter jokingly what she has learnt from the two days.

Here is what she told me…

“I have learnt that it is not easy to make money. Am surprised that what we made in the two days of selling Christmas chickens is equivalent to what I paid for my Valedictory Service in School”

My eyes shot up.

So my daughter didn’t know how big the money I paid for Valedictory Service only is until she worked for the equivalent.

See the damage we do to our children when we struggle and do everything to meet their needs without allowing them to have a feel of where and how the money is coming from.

Dear Parents, don’t prevent your children from getting involved in your profession, vocation or business. Let them be involved.

You run a salon but your children are playing around because it’s holiday, am sorry for you.

The poultry you have is too dirty for your children to work in…because you want them to become Lawyers and Doctors. Too bad.

You’re a WELDER but because it’s a dirty job you don’t want your future Mechanical Engineer son to come around…. You are a joker.

You’re are busy jumping around to make ends meet but your children are at home always watching AFRICA Magic…. Sorry they simply think you went out to have a nice time just as they are doing at home.

Come on, get them involved!!!

If you can’t involve them directly, find a way of teaching them value for money.

When next your child asks for those flimsy money, make him/her work for it.

Most working class parents are “killing” their children by giving an impression that “Daddy” or “Mummy is always there”

It is not punishment, it is training. My father did it to me. Am doing it to my children.

They should do same to their children.

KSO Speaks

True Character of Obj exposed
Obj’s public life has not been about building. He has been about taking. He never worked for any triumph of his life. Benjamin Adekunle worked the Third Marine Commando into a heroic machine. The swashbuckling commander was fired on the battle field and redeployed. The war was almost over. Obj, who took a bullet in the buttocks, took over and claims the credit for winning it. He became second man in command to Murtala Muhammed. The fierce general was overthrown. Obj enjoyed the benefit, his army fatigue immune to even the smell of gunpowder.
He was in jail during the Abacha junta. He was released and everyone, including IBB, begged him to run for President. He won even though he mocked NADECO and other forces that fought and died to flush out the military.
Obj has been an opportunist and a beneficiary of other people’s sweat. He is the Paulo Rossi of Nigerian political history. He is sweatless in struggle but he wears the crown. He has never lost because he has never gambled. He has been like the opportunist tiger who takes over the carcass of other less-sinewed cats.
So when Obj came out to lash out at Buhari, it was all in character. He installed Yar’adua, knowing of his imperfect health. Yet, he came down on him before the man succumbed to illness. He descended like a predator bird on Jonathan because, as a source told me, Jonathan was not listening to him. He tore his party card in an extravagance of public disavowal. Yet, he knew the Vice President he gave to Yar’adua.
Now, Obj has never built anything in his life, except relatively sweatless projects, such as Otta farm. The throne has always been ready for him. He asked Buhari to dismount. But he has always mounted free horses others trained and decorated. Even in pushing for a third force, he says he wants to “join.” A founder does not join. The use of that word is a Freudian admission that it is a strange territory for him. He is the vulture, not an eagle. He does not kill, but waits and whets his appetite until the meaty prize arrives. He did same in the third term bid. He baited and waited. But when it failed, he played Peter and denied any hand in it.
He said both PDP and APC are now cesspools. He wants a third force. But where is he going to get the so-called new breed? The bigwigs of APC will not leave their party. As Achebe wrote in A Man of The People, who will spit out a sweet morsel that good fortune has tossed in his mouth. Many top APC men are happy and “chopping.” The PDP guys are not happy. But he already condemned them. If he succeeds, then Obj will have turned opportunism into a genuine trophy. Just as he took the term “third force” from Soyinka as a form of revenge. Or is he going to build a party of malcontents. Can malcontents rescue a nation of discontents?

Life is very unpredictable, sometimes you go to the LEFT where nothing is RIGHT and sometimes you go the RIGHT where nothing is LEFT.

Today’s decision can determine your tomorrow’s destination.

Be honest with yourself when making a choice.

Decision making is one of the hardest things in life although can be easy when U are honest with yourself.

A confused man is a blind man, be very
careful if you don’t know where you are going, because you might end up no where in life.

KNOWLEDGE is knowing what you WANT while WISDOM is choosing what you NEED.

Never lose your priorities in your journey of life.

Don’t be too shy or too proud to seek advice, but be very careful from who and where you seek advice.

The only advice you can get from a fool is a foolish one.

Don’t make decisions when you are sad and don’t make promises when you are happy.

Never make a permanent decision in a temporary situation.

Blindness is never in lost sight but in lost focus.

The best way to see life is to sometimes close your eyes.

Until you stop looking at everything, you may never see anything.

Pay more attention to what’s important and the unimportant things will gradually finds its way out of your life.

To follow the crowd is to miss the crown.

Be bold to follow your own path in your journey of life.

Never trust a new friend with all your mouth.

If you have a secret keep it to yourself because once it’s out of your mouth, it’s already in the news.

Everybody has a dirty linen in their closets never wash your own in public.

If you think you have seen it all try and look again.

Some things are not GOLD they only glitter.

What’s behind 6 is far more than 7 and 8.

If it looks too good to be true, it may have a fault.

Free things always come with high price in life.

Never say YES to any favor that will later demand for your happiness and freedom in life.

Never allow a temporary enjoyment to take your everlasting joy away.

Never put your hope in human being if you want peace of mind. Those who put their hope in human may die serving them.

If you are confused about life, put your hope in GOD.

GOD will never give you stone when you ask HIM for bread.

Those who put everything in GOD’s hand will eventually see the hand of GOD in their everything.

GOD may not come on time but HIS timing is always the best.

Sometime in February 1995, l told Chief Gani Fawehinmi l wanted to have a private meeting with him. I had noticed certain things around him which l didn’t like and because of our close relationship, l felt l needed to discuss with him one-on-one.
He fixed the date and at the beginning of the meeting, l instructed his office assistant that she shouldn’t allow any visitor or staff members to come in.

I spoke with Chief candidly, shooting from the hips. “I need to save you from yourself”, l told him. He was nodding intermittently. In the course of our meeting, the intercom buzzed and he attempted to pick it up but l “ordered” him not to pick. “Sorry Chief, you can’t pick that call”. And he complied. At the end of the meeting, he thanked me profusely and promised to make amendments.
He was not bound by my suggestions but because he respected me and he knew l did that out of genuine love, he appreciated my intervention.

Few days after, we were in his office and a close staff, instead of disagreeing with Chief over an issue, rather prodded him on by saying ” beeni sir”. I got angry and told the person “stop deceiving this man by telling him ‘beeni sir”.

Why am l saying this? The greatest problem of leaders are their diehard, blind supporters. To them, it is ” see no evil, talk no evil”. That is the stage Buhari is in right now. The “beeni Sir” crowd, both on the social media and around him, have blinded him not to see the reality, making him to live in the fools paradise, so to speak. Everything the government does, no matter how stupid, is rationalised. Criticism is an anathema. But you see, praise singing would send a leader into perdition. Let the president feel the heat so that things can improve. It is in his own interest. “Beeni sir” syndrome would not help him, if you really claim to love PMB.

What the Rich teach their children: Asset vs Liability*

One day, the son of a rich man, who was an undergraduate,
approached his father and the following discussion took place.
*Son:* _Dad, may I speak with you?_
*Dad:* _Go ahead._
*Son:* _Among all my classmates, I am the only one without a car. It is embarrassing._
*Dad:* _What do you want me to do?_
*Son:* _I need a car. I don’t want to feel odd._
*Dad:* _Do you have a particular car in mind?_
*Son:* _Yes dad (smiling)_
*Dad:* _How much?_
*Son:* _$1600_
*Dad:* _I will give you the money on one condition._
*Son:* _What is the condition?_
*Dad:* _You will not use the money to buy a car but invest it. If you make enough profit from the investment, you can go ahead and buy the car._
*Son:* _Deal._
Then, the father gave him a cheque of $1600. The son cashed the cheque and invested it in obedience to the verbal agreement that he had with his father.
Some months later, the father asked the son how he was faring. The son responded that his business was improving. The father left him.
After some months again, the father asked him about his business
again and the son told him that he is making a lot of profit from the business.
When it was exactly a year after he gave him the money, the father asked him to show him how far the business has gone. The son readily agreed and the following discussion took place:
*Dad:* _From this I can see that you have made a lot of money._
*Son:* _Yes dad. _
*Dad:* _Do you still remember our agreement?_
*Son:* _Yes_
*Dad:* _What is it?_
*Son:* _We agreed that I should invest the money and buy the car from the profit._
*Dad:* _Why have you not bought the car?_
*Son:* _I don’t need the car again. I want to invest more._
*Dad:* _Good. You have learnt the lessons that I wanted to teach you._
*- You didn’t really need the car, you just wanted to feel among. That would have placed extra financial obligations on you. It wasn’t an asset then; but a liability.*
*- Two, it is very important for you to invest in your future before living like a king.*
*Son:* _Thanks dad._
Then the father gave him the keys of the latest model of that car.
*1. Always invest first before you start living the way you want.*
*2. What you see as a need now may become a want if you can take a little time to get over your feelings.*
*3. Try to be able to distinguish between an asset and a liability so that what you see as an asset today will not become a liability to you tomorrow.*
*The difference between the rich and the poor is that the rich look for assets while the poor look for liabilities…*

Christmas in Captivity

The joy of Christmas is Jesus.

READ: Isaiah 9:1–7

On those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. Isaiah 9:2
Rev. Martin Niemoller, a prominent German pastor, spent nearly eight years in Nazi concentration camps because he openly opposed Hitler.

On Christmas Eve 1944, Niemoller spoke these words of hope to his fellow prisoners in Dachau: “My dear friends, on this Christmas . . . let us seek, in the Babe of Bethlehem, the One who came to us in order to bear with us everything that weighs heavily upon us. . . . God Himself has built a bridge from Himself to us! A dawn from on high has visited us!”

At Christmas we embrace the good news that God, in Christ, has come to us wherever we are and has bridged the gap between us. He invades our prison of darkness with His light and lifts the load of sorrow, guilt, or loneliness that weighs us down.

On that bleak Christmas Eve in prison, Niemoller shared this good news: “Out of the brilliance that surrounded the shepherds a shining ray will fall into our darkness.” His words remind us of the prophet Isaiah, who prophetically said, “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned” (Isa. 9:2).

No matter where today finds us, Jesus has penetrated our dark world with His joy and light!

— David McCasland

Keeping Christ out of Christmas is as futile as holding back the ocean’s tide.

Surely the Stones will Cry O.I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out. —Luke 19:40

Every year it seems that Christmas becomes more and more commercialized. Even in nations where the majority of people call themselves “Christian,” the season has become more about shopping than worshiping. The pressure to buy gifts and plan elaborate parties makes it increasingly difficult to stay focused on the real meaning of the holiday—the birth of Jesus, God’s only Son, the Savior of the world.

But every holiday I also hear the gospel coming from surprising places —the very places that so commercialize Christmas—shopping malls. When I hear “Joy to the World! The Lord is come; let earth receive her King” ringing from public address systems, I think of the words Jesus said to the Pharisees who told Him to silence the crowds who were praising Him. “If they keep quiet,” Jesus said, “the stones will cry out” (Luke 19:40 niv).

At Christmas we hear stones cry out. Even people spiritually dead sing carols written by Christians long dead, reminding us that no matter how hard people try to squelch the real message of Christmas, they will never succeed.
Despite the commercialism that threatens to muddle the message of Christ’s birth, God will make His good news known as “far as the curse is found.”

Keeping Christ out of Christmas is as futile as holding back the ocean’s tide.

Why is Christmas day on the 25th December??

First Christmas celebrated on Dec, 25 was in 336AD. In the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine because he was the first Christian Roman Emperor, few year later Pope Julius 1 officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on the 25th of December.

Some archeologist reveal that, the early church celebrated Christmas on January 6th.Some other christian groups celebrate Christmas in October. Can someone tell us exactly date of Christ birth?? Merry Christmas to all my family and friends….

It is a privilege to have u all in my life, u r all loved and appreciated in my own way.

Pls remember that this season is all about the Lord Jesus Christ and the best gift u could give Him is by winning a soul to Him… take the opportunity of being surrounded by ur loved ones and preach the Gospel!! that way u will make the angels in heaven celebrate and the Lord will be well pleased with u!!!

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in Advance

Two years ago, JESUS’ asked one question from me which I would like to share with you as you are preparing for Christmas.
It was during Christmas celebration. The
vision was very clear.
JESUS’ asked me, my son, assuming you were invited to a birthday party and  you met the celebrant weeping, what would you do?
I was shocked and could not answer, Celebrant weeping?
JESUS’ began to speak. I am the celebrant that you christians are celebrating my birthday every year. Each year, you increase my agony and tears during this Christmas celebrations because of your hypocrisy.
Many of you don’t even know me. The few that I can boast of are living lives of disobedient.
Holiness among my children is now a taboo. Righteousness, Sanctification, restitution and other sound Biblical doctrines had disappeared among you and you still gather to eat food and sing sinful songs to me. Is that how to celebrate my birthday?
Pastors are now spiritual 419.These so called pastors got power from Satan to do my work, yet you will see them gathering crowds to sing Carol. Why would I not weep.?
Burying human beings on the alter, going about with charms. Is that what I instructed them to do ?
Sleeping with church members is not a new thing among the so called ministers. All kinds of programs are organized by different churches with one purpose and agenda-to raise money.
My son, there are mega churches, mega instruments and mega population without any disciple among the congregation. Are these not wasted efforts?
Churches are building cathedrals everyday without candidates of heaven among the worshippers.
Why are you celebrating my birthday when there is no unity and love among my children? Why are you celebrating my birthday when your worship centres are being guided by herbalists because of the mundane things inside the building? Are you saying I am powerless that I can’t protect what belongs to me?
Nakedness is more visible in my churches than club houses.
My Son, Evangelism is dead and buried. What u are doing now is member snatching. Nobody is ready to go to fertile ground anymore.
JESUS’ said many things in that vision that I could not remember again.I’ve shared this revelation in my sermon and among my people.
Are you among those people that are making JESUS’ to weep every Christmas?Think about it.
JESUS’ is on his way already. You don’t need to be told d happenings in Israel,Palestine and other places.
I pray for everybody now,u and I will not miss rapture in the Name of JESUS’.
George Weah
George Weah of Liberia first sought for Liberian presidency (2005, aged 39) He failed. Obtained his SSCE (2006, aged 40), his degree (2011, aged 45) and masters (2013, aged 47). He won election to the Liberian Senate (2014, aged 48). He has just been declared the country’s president (2017, aged 51) All under 12 years interval. When you make up your mind to succeed you must also be willing to act on your convictions?
6 years ago a guy looked at me face to face, and boldly told me; “I don’t like you!”
I immediately fired a response, I asked him that day; “Thank you for the honest feedback, but those that you like, how has it made their life better? How does your liking people pay their bills or take a bank loan? My brother keep your like, I need God’s like And that’s what guarantees my future.
Today I joined a CEO friend of mine in an interview Panel to recruit some new staff, it was a long session, as we returned from a coffee break to continue the hectic interview session, here was this same guy walked in with his grey jacket and CV coming for the interview.
Our eyes kissed by fluke, we immediately recognised eachother; “the world is indeed spherical”, I soliloquized.
He felt very uncomfortable through out the interview, one could clearly see the volcanic eruption ongoing in his whole nervous system, he even mistook his date of birth for his last date of employment. It wasn’t yet my turn to ask him questions so I allowed everyone to take their turns with him and deliberately opted to interview him last.
When it got to my turn, the first thing I said was, “I LIKE YOU so much, you look to me like a brilliant and intelligent person, but it seems you are not doing well now because something bothers you, true?”
“That’s very correct Sir!” He responded.
“Ok look at me straight in the eye, I was never offended that day, it is very normal that sometimes as humans you just don’t like certain people, but I wasn’t bothered either, because whether you liked me or not, it was inconsequential to my life and my success path – as you can see, fate has brought you to my lair”
I stood up and beckoned him to come and embrace me, everyone on the panel at this point were at sea – wondering if we had expeditiously recast an interview session to a Hollywood movie scene.
He hugged me so long and deeply that I felt it. Then I told him, “now get your confidence back bro and answer the questions like a Pro Shark that you are, we all burst into laughter, everyone suddenly liked him and the room became livelier – the interview became more like a discussion, well to cut the long story short, he got the job!
1. Be careful how you treat people when they appear to be in their vulnerable state, your next level may be hanging in their balance;  somewhere in the future.
2. If you dislike someone, it is not their fault, it is YOUR FAULT, work on yourself to find good in people and reinvent your Mind to see everyone as likeable.
3. Don’t spew hatred vocally just because it came into your heart, you may say it to someone who will keep it forever and use it against you when you find yourself in your own low moments and need them.
4. Learn to forgive, overlook people’s dislike and hatred for you, dont punish people just because you have the position and privilege to do so, bless them rather – that’s how you court God’s blessings, favour and protection.
5.  Forgive others just as your heavenly Father has forgiven you.
6. Share this post. Someone needs it to heal from their past burdens of unforgiveness they have been carrying which has been hindering their promotions and inhibiting God’s blessings flowing their way.

Buhari Vs Killer Fulani Herdsmen

“Something that is disturbing that I have heard about it is linking those developments to the fact that a Fulani man is president and so, he is brooking such kind of evil acts.
“I think that is very unkind. And I will try to back my position with statistics.
“In 2013, particularly, there were nine cases of herdsmen invading communities in Benue state alone and more than 190 people were killed.
“In 2014, there were about 16 of such tragic developments with more than 231 people killed. And then there was a change of government in May 2015. But between January and May 2015, there were six attacks which left about 335 people dead.
“Now, the question is, during that period, did we have a Fulani president?
“This is showing us that the issue of herdsmen attacking settlements, attacking farmers, attacking communities is pure criminality and it is something that government must deal with.
“It is the duty of government to preserve the lives of the citizenry. It is the responsibility of government to maintain law and order and that this government is determined to do.
“Therefore, let nobody say that all this is happening because we have a Fulani president.
“We have had many Fulani presidents in the past and this issue of herders and local communities at loggerheads has predated this government.
“But I will just like to appeal to Nigerians that the Muhammadu Buhari government is determined to crack this issue, is determined to get to the bottom of it and it will get done.”
~ Femi Adesina.”
“This statement by Femi Adesina strikes the right note. The Buhari Govt fully accepts and does not try to shirk its responsibility to keep the nation safe and maintain law and order, WHILE correcting the false tribalistic narrative that the attacks are happening because a Fulani man in president. It is very important people know this issue has been going on for decades.
What citizens now rightly demand is that the President, the Security services, and the Governors of the affected states work together to end these killings speedily, restore peace, and find long lasting answers to the decades old problem. ~ Bucky Hassan

1983 coup

The 1983 coup came at the right time…it was a saving grace because we were already feeling the heat, the average Nigerian of middle class economy could not afford these essential commodities. I remember that the lovable 10kobo bread I used to eat every morning as breakfast became 25kobo, my elder bro and I would have to share one, also, Dad and Mum would share another one, thereby giving rise to the family expenditure compared to the meagre pay back then. At 10kobo per medium size loaf of bread, we spent 60Kobo every morning, but @ 25kobo, daily expenditure on breakfast rose to N1.50k, 150% increase.

Where was the Hollander milk, the Peak milk? We found it hard to adjust to the Nido powder milk. The economy remained almost comatose until Buhari/Idiagbon came in.

However, I will not be part of the naivity being exhibited on this issue because I was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that only people that are deficient in morals as well as not disciplined, complained about the power seizure of December 31st 1983. People with the opinion that the country would have become paradise on the earth should the 2nd republique not aborted, have wandered off reality of the needs to save Nigeria from the hands of these same corrupt politicians. Instead, I would prefer they opined that Nigeria Independence should have not happened until two (2) decades later than the 1960. The fear is still in them. Thank you.

Some people always tell me that the 1983 coup derailed our democracy, which they said would have taken us to greater heights. They said if there was no “interruptions” we would have been developed by now. I don’t think so.It was during his regime that people queued endlessly for essential commodities like rice, milk, sugar etc that was being distributed to people. These items were often unavailable and often if available, there was a lot of bigotry in itsdistribution to the masses. All these happen under President Shehu Shagari’s watch. It was the same time that a member of the Shagari administration said Nigerians should stop complaining about poverty, corruption and bad governance because “they are not picking food from the dustbin”. When the military came at that time, many people celebrated. However, because I have no knowledge of what tomorrow might have been, I will assume that those who claim the coup took us back may be right. May be if Buhari and Idiagbon never came in, in 1983, Nigeria will be like Singapore, Luxembourg or Qatar. Even at that I surely missed something about Buhari and Idiagbon’s military regime. YES! I missed the “jumbo” jail time dished out to convicted corrupt politicians. from 20 to 25 to 60 years. One of them was even jailed for 102 years. Some said it is draconian. But in that case, and considering what we are witnessing today, I sure do love me some draconian rulings for thieves. I’m also imagining what life will be today, if some of the politicians of those days were not released by Gen IBB, mostly in 1986. Same crop of people later formed G77, which also transformed into PDP….Tam David West, that great patriot, who once said that corruption, rather than Boko Haram terrorists, would bring worse bloodshed in Nigeria. Everywhere, corruption,at the polls worse corruption, public money is theirs & people are dying from want!!!
Donald J Trumps definition of “shithole”country status.
1) Your leaders steal your money and hide it in other countries
2) Your children can’t find jobs so they cross the desert, get sold as slaves or make it to the Ocean and cross in dinghies get to Europe to do menial jobs.
3) Your citizens are embroiled in vicious community , tribal and religious killing and the government is helpless.
4) Your institutions don’t work, corruption is celebrated.
5) Religion is the drug your citizens use to calm themselves and attack each other.
6) Life is short and bitter.
7) Your citizens enjoy luxury goods and produce nothing.
8) Politics is do or die and the party in power absorbs every thief because each man wanna chop.
9) Nothing works in your country except faith.
10) Your sisters dominate the prostitution trade in far away lands and excel in “juju” bondage.
11) Workers salaries are not paid, and state governors are arrogant.
If your country fits this bill then you are from a SHITHOLE country, face the truth and make it better . Stop blaming other country leaders

FREEDAY FREE FOOD FOR FRIENDS’ FREAKING FREETHINKING Vols 555, 556, 557, 558, 559, 560, 561, 562 and 563 +Debunking lies about Nigerian churches+Right Perception to tithing+Ghadaffi (6 years after)+Wrong Philosophies of life+Buhari Vs Carter

In 2010 I was a senior manager in a nice firm, my future was bright in the company and I was highly recommended for head of my department. There was a rising star as well, his name is Jacob. I tutored him and tried to manage his excesses because he was exceptionally brilliant. But, he was lazy and carefree. Hardly would he take corrections and rarely would he apologise.
My other colleagues wondered what I saw in him, but they weren’t working directly with him. I knew his type: he hated structure and would never last under a corporate environment. Still, he was a brilliant strategist. I handled him well and our results together with others on my team was highly commendable.
There came a time I was having marital issues and for this reason, I had little patience with Jacob and his shenanigans. I was short-tempered with him but he had gotten used to me managing his excesses, he didn’t take my anger seriously. In two weeks, I had given him 3 queries. This meant dismissal and when I was asked by HR if I truly wanted to let him go, I could not care less. I had my own problems and was not in the mood to babysit anyone.
Three years later, I lost my job because the company was downsizing and top management was affected. I foolishly assumed I would get a job anywhere so initially, I wasn’t worried. But 12 months in, I was still searching and my savings was dwindling fast. I decided, since I wasn’t getting any job, I’d drive my SUV as a cab to those commuting from the airport. This was better than waiting around for nothing…
The cab job surprisingly was not doing badly as I was picking up and dropping off esteemed clients. It wasn’t a lot of money but it was steady.
In July 2016, an esteemed client asked me to pick up his friend from the airport because his driver had flaked on him. This person I was to pick up would turn out to be Jacob. When he called to confirm his location, I instantly recognised his voice. My heart plunged but I wasn’t going to reject the job and disappoint a long-term client. Jacob exited the airport with only a hand luggage so there was no need for me to alight from the car. As he got in the car, I looked back from the driver’s seat to greet him but he was distracted on the phone and never looked up to notice me. He only answered my greeting and asked me to get going
As I drove him all the way to a hotel on the Island, I had tears in my eyes. He looked like he was doing well, his conversations on the phone also showed that he was in control. Jacob had done well for himself and I was now driving him. Life is tricky and has a way of making you the butt of its joke. I cannot lie that I was ashamed but I would never forgive myself if I let him go without letting him know I was proud of him.
We got to the hotel and I quickly got down from the car to open his door. This was when he noticed me. He was speechless for a while then he said in Yoruba “Oga you have been the one driving me since?” He was shocked at first but then he hugged me tight. The tears finally poured, I can’t really say what I felt but I know I didn’t expect his reaction.
“I heard you were let go, I sent you a message on my other number to find out how you were but you never responded”He said while still holding on to my shoulders
I remember receiving a message from him but he was one out of many that called or texted to pity me. I didn’t want anyone’s pity so I never responded.
Jacob made me park my car and took me in to his room to talk. He immediately told me about his new gig. After he was laid off, he got a consultation deal with a multinational which opened doors for him in other multinationals. Now, he has 15 people working for him but he was in desperate need of someone who does the same as him and he didn’t have to worry about their competence. He just wanted to focus more on bringing business to the company.
My life changed that day. I resumed work with Jacob in one week and I have made sure since then to treat his company as if it were mine.
I don’t know why he treated me so nicely after what I did to him but as men, we have never talked about it. I am sure though, that he can feel my gratitude in the way I work and my zeal in doing all I can to make sure he doesn’t have to worry about the back-end.
I hope someone learns from this. lf the world turns upside down, you may end up cleaning for your cleaner. Please always remember this when you act without consideration of the other person’s future.

This is not one of the things the Gate of Hell that wants to pull down the Church discusses on Facebook and other social media. The Church of Christ will never be able to please the Gates of Hell. It’s time to shake off the distraction – copied from Church Gist

“When you go to church today and feel the AC blowing through your wig into your skull, know that you are eating out of your tithe.…

When the bass guitarists, the keyboardists and other guys on the drums are delivering some good music during praise and you’re dancing everywhere and removing your coat, uncle they pay those guys working for God, know that you are eating out of your tithe. …
Most Sundays you don’t go to church because you depend on NEPA to iron your clothes, it is the same thing in the house of God, we don’t depend on NEPA to power the church, we pay for fuel and diesel, so when you go to church today and enjoy uninterrupted worship, know that you are eating out of your tithe.…
If you go to church to charge your phones and you grudge about tithe, well, your case is different. …
When we invite Pst Nathaniel Bassey to lead you in worship to our God, it is not his trumpet he will eat when he goes back home after ushering the Holy Ghost into your life with his ministration, it is not Halleluyah challenge his landlord will eat, we give them minister’s gifts to support the work God is also doing through them, it is the meat that you have stored in God’s house that we use to feed them.
So when Travis Greene comes from the UK to raise the roof in praise and worship dance very well because it is your tithe. “
Who deserves to live in Lekki? The pastor that feeds you daily with God’s word or Timaya that adds nothing to your Christian faith?
Who deserves to drive the best cars? Your pastor glorifying God or Iyanya winding waist with naked women glorifying mammon?
One witch somewhere will just be vexing for nothing that we are giving to advance the kingdom, you grudge when asked to donate to a church project, you grudge when asked to pay tithe, you think it’s your squeezed 50naira that makes you comfortable in worship at church? Witches campaigning for people not to pay tithe to God when they cheerfully pay Millions for a table for 5 at AY shows. Witches!!!”

“The right perception to tithing”

(Please pause and read this)
I have tried so hard to avoid this tithing or no tithing debate, but It will be so ungrateful of me to keep quiet and watch some folk misunderstand a principle that gives me great peace.
I’m not going to quote a single scripture to defend this, if the Bible is too deep for us to understand, then maybe it is time we try common sense.
We don’t tithe because we want to receive from God, we don’t tithe to buy God’s blessings, it is not a give and take something, it is not a trade by batter principle. God’s blessings and favours comes upon us in a million amazing ways without giving a penny, most times the blessings we hardly take notice, He just loves us, unconditionally, whether we are giving to Him or not. He gave us Jesus without our consent, He sent His son at a time when we least deserved it, that’s how much He has been giving to us without asking anything back in return.
I don’t care about being under law, under grace or under mercy, I just love the Lord with all my heart, and with all that is within me. I give back a tenth of all that He gives to ensure that there is meat in His house and to maintain my local assembly. I tithe I understand that it is His duty to maintain the spiritual needs of His house, but since He has given me the capacity to contribute to the physical and material needs of His house, I WILL.
It will be an insult to go to church one day and learn that pastor couldn’t come because he went to work so he can pay his children’s school fees. I tithe to make sure that my pastor’s sermons are not influenced by hunger and lack.
It gives me great joy to know that my tithe contributes to the salaries of the staffs working night and day in God’s house.
I tithe to ensure that God’s properties are protected while I sleep very well in my house. I don’t want to come back next service day to learn that thieves have stolen the church microphones and generator because we cannot hire security guards to keep watch.
If driving a good car helps my pastor spread the gospel across many towns and cities, I will tithe for him to buy a private jet so that he can fly everywhere and spread the gospel faster.
I tithe to maintain His house.
I tithe to finance the gospel.
I refuse to allow the under law and under grace debate make God look complicated to me. The Levite priests did not have electricity problem in their time, bad roads and traffic was not a problem to spreading the gospel, yet God’s people were still giving to maintain God’s house. It’s still the same today, different scenarios.
If living in Lekki will make my pastor beat traffic and come early for service I will tithe for him to buy a house there. If living in banana island will make him accessible to God’s people I will tithe to make it happen.
I tithe so that the generator will never lack diesel. I tithe because it will be uncomfortable for me to worship God in the hot heat with someone who has body odour, I tithe for God’s house to have a good AC.
I tithe to enjoy the same quality of music people enjoy in the clubs and bars.
I tithe for the church to have a good sound system. I tithe for the church to afford professional instrumentalists and sound engineers to make my worship experience more exciting.
I tithe for the church to continue giving bobo and popcorn to our kids in the children’s church.
If my tithe is helping the outreach department take care of the poor and needy I will keep tithing.
If my tithe contributes to the logistics that will fly Bishop TD Jakes down here to give me a different dimension of the Word, I will keep tithing.
If my tithe makes the gospel concerts and word conferences FREE, I will keep tithing.
I tithe not as a batter to receive, it is not a means of exchange, how much can i really pay? I tithe to keep His house running so that I can always run there to refill and recharge.
So whether it is old testament, new testament or future testament, it is our duty to maintain our local assembly, and this is why I tithe cheerfully.
The best news is that you cannot take care of God’s house and live in lack. It all comes back to us in different ways, pressed down, shaken together, and rolling over.
It’s just common sense guys, just common sense.

Buhari Vs Jimmy Carter

At this rate it is my hope that Buhari does not end up being a one-term President like former US President, Jimmy Carter who was elected with a lot of enthusiasm but ended becoming a great disappointment and was booted out via the ballot box in 1980. Buhari does not even know how unpopular he has become and he has refused to address the pains and concerns of Nigerians.

‘Muslims Of The World… Have No Religious Basis To Rule Jerusalem’

After U.S. President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, on December 6, 2017, Mobarak Haidar (above), renowned Pakistani historian and author of multiple books, wrote the following on his Facebook page:[1]
“Jerusalem And Muslim Claims
“The Holy Koran spoke of Al-Aqsa Mosque when it was not a ‘mosque’ in the Islamic sense. It was a holy place because of the prophets of Israel, from Moses to Jesus. It was the holy spot of worship for Jews and Christians. Obviously, there were no Muslims in the city of Jerusalem till the era of Emir-ul-Momineen Umar ibn Khattab… The Prophet [Muhammad] and his followers prayed with their faces toward this Jewish-Christian holy temple because Kaaba (the present center of Islamic Hajj) was full of idols.
“After the ‘Conquest of Mecca,’ Muslims were told to turn their faces toward Kaaba and away from Jerusalem. They have never faced their loyalty toward Jerusalem after that, for the last 1,400 years. No Muslim ever went to pray in Jerusalem till it was conquered by the second caliph [Umar ibn Khattab], although there was no restriction on Muslims. They do not go there today because it was no longer their center.
“Christians were masters of Jerusalem before Muslims conquered it. It is still a holy place for Christians. But Christians have no dispute over ownership of the city. It is their religious right to visit the holy city; and the Jews do not stop them. Muslims, too, should have the same religious rights, and in fact they have those rights; Jews do not stop them. Muslims of the world, therefore, have no religious basis to rule Jerusalem. Most of the Muslims have never even wished to visit Jerusalem. As for the political claim, only Palestinians can make it and only they should negotiate.
“It cannot be a collective Muslim claim. Quraishi Arabs were masters of Jerusalem for some time. Then Mamluks, Muslim kings, took over. Turks came after them. Colonial Christians were the last political rulers. It is interesting to note that Iranian Muslims or Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent or Southeast Asia or of Africa have never been its masters. They can claim only spiritual ties.
“Active centers of Muslim faith are none other than the Holy Cities of Mecca and Medina. Iranians have never controlled these active centers. But they are passionately building deadly weapons and jihadi forces to conquer or destroy Israel. It is sectarian politics of hegemony which can generate nothing but division and pain.”

*It’s exactly 6Yrs since Muammar Gadaffi was Killed*

*Muamar Gaddafi’s Prophecies:*

“`”I will not go into exile to any foreign country. I was born here in Libya, and I will die here. This country was a dessert, and I turned it into a forest, where everything can grow.
No one Love this land more more than its citizens. If Europe and America tells you that they love you, be careful. They love the wealth of your land. The oil and not the people. They are helping you to fight against me but, it will be more wise for you to fight against them because they are fighting against your future and progress.

My message to you the people of Libya is, they are helping you to kill me but you will pay the price because you will suffer. And my message to you America and Europe is, you will kill me, but be ready to fight a never ending TERRORISM.
Before you realise your ignorance, terrorists will be hitting you at your doorstep.”

GADDAFI once told the Nigerian and British governments to divide Nigeria into two, so that the Hausa/Fulani (Moslems), Yoruba (Christians) and Biafrans/Igbo, can live as neighbouring countries.

It’s good we look at these 16 REAL REASONS WHY COL. GADDAFI WAS KILLED:
1. There is no electricity bill in Libya, electricity is free for all its citizens.
2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens are at a 0% interest by law.
3. Home is considered a human right in Libya. Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a
4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinars (US$50,000) from the government to buy their first apartment.
5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi, only 25% of Libyans were literates. Today, the figure stands at 83%.
6. Libyans taking up farming as a career, they received farm land, a farming house, equipment, seeds and livestock to kick- start their farms – all for free.
7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they needed in Libya, the government funded them to go abroad for it.
8. In Gaddafi’s Libya, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price.
9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0. 14 per liter.
10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion – now frozen globally.
11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation, the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.
12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.
13. A mother who gave birth to a child under Gaddafi, received US $5,000 as child benefit upfront.
14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15
15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree
16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man- Made River Project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.
If this is called “Dictatorship”, I wonder what type of Leadership Democrats have!!

I love the reply of this man to Charly Boy after he labelled Pastors as conmen,.
The fact is many Nigerians are loosing it. They can’t think beyond going after pastors.

In what way has pastors prevented Nigeria from owning an Airline

In what way do pastors prevent Nigeria from having industries

Less than 0.0001% of pastors own Jets in Nigeria. But no let us forget the over 70% that earn less than 50k/month and focus on the 0.0001% than own jets.

If you ran your governments the way church leaders are running churches. Nigeria might be a Qatar right now. In all these argument Canaanland has had stable electricity and water supply for its over 15,000 residents since 1999 and is already on the verge of converting waste to electricity. RCCG is producing 25MW of electricity. Yet your useless govt you pay compulsory tax, vat, CIT, Pet Tax has not been able to give you light decades after independence.

Living Faith has more than 16,000 Staff and has never owed any of them salary! Yet your state govt that collects Allocation plus Tax cannot pay full salary.

Living Faith a single Church is schooling 16 thousand of your Citizens in Higher institutions and many more at primary and Secondary levels yet you think you have the capacity to waggle your tongue

I went for Shiloh all through and stayed in the staff quarters yet it was electricity all through, for one second water did not go off inspite of thousands that were present. On a normal day you won’t walk 20 meters before you find a segregated bin to dispose your waste.

The entire area was fully covered by different layers of Security with multiple CCTV and IoT enabled barrier gates. And yet your Abuja, capital of the Nation does not have CCTV yet you open your foul mouth to talk down on pastors! Ode

Between the guy that calls himself Area father and Oyedepo who resigned a federal job and started a Church of 3 people and has widened it to over 6,000 churches globally, over 100 schools, 2 hospitals, Over 1000hectares farm for livestock and crop, Another farm in Igbesa and CU. With 15,000 housing Estate, Water factories, Zeolite factory, One Research center, a scholarship fund, Beverage factories, 10 million books, Publishing house, Radio Station etc who has had more impact or who will have better capacity to govern the nation. Mumu

Canaanland host hundreds of thousands of people every week yet no stampede ever. Your govt gathered ppl at stadium for recruitment excersise and before it even began many were dead!

Living Faith already has a master plan till 2032 yet your govt does not have a plan for 2020!

You know Illogicality is the trademark of most Africans. They fail to think beyond their prejudices and sentiments hence Africa has remained on the ground.

Michael Jordan as case study+Pele’s story

If the police ask you to write a statement, which they normally do when they stop you on the road and take you to their station or when they invite you to their station, you should know how to write a good statement that will not implicate you.
First, whether you write a statement as a witness or as a suspect, you must understand that your statement is very likely going to be used against you either in court or for the purpose of blackmail by some officers (not all). Therefore, take your statement writing as a serious matter.
Remember that you have right to refuse to write a statement until your lawyer is present. But this normally leads to argument and hostile reactions from the police, and it may likely be a pretext for them not releasing you immediately.
There are no hard and fast rules as to the content of a statement. It is supposed to be what you know in relation to an incident or the reason for you being brought to the station. Since the statement is not just a general view on anything you like, it is important that you know the reason for which you have been brought to the station.
For those who have been suspected of committing an offense, make sure that before you start writing a statement, you ask the officer the offense for which you have been brought to the station. If he tells you that there is no offense, that they just want you to tell them all you know, you can politely say: No, Sir. The police force is meant to enforce the criminal law. Therefore, the police would not have any justification to bring you to the station except if they suspect that an offense has been committed somewhere by somebody – either you or someone else. And you need to know the offense and the person suspected before you could write your statement.
Also, if you were arrested or invited as a result of a petition written against you, you must demand to read carefully that petition before you start giving your statement.
When you start your statement, make sure you explain in your statement the reason for which you have been asked to make your statement. For instance, you can say something like: “I was stopped while driving my vehicle with registration number xxxxx on ________ street in _______ city. After showing my papers to officer xxxxxxx, I was taken to the police station and informed that my car was suspected of being stolen car”
Then you make your statement. You will see that the police will not like this. But you should be able to state the summary of the circumstances that led to you having to make a statement in the station.
I will say more about writing statements at police stations. For now, just get the idea that you should explain why you are making a statement and the offenses you were told you were suspected of. You should state that in your statement before you begin to write other things
POST SCRIPT: The reason you have to state in your statement the reason for making a statement is obvious. Your statement when read by a third party can only make sense in the context of the matter that prompted the statement. So, if you didn’t state the matter to which your statement relates, the police may change the matter down the line. Initially, you thought you were arrested because of stolen vehicle, but the police later charged it to kidnapping. If a judge is reading your statement in a kidnapping case, he will think you were evading the issues. He will think you were dodging the matter that you don’t want to answer the question. And he will form a negative opinion of you based on your presumably inconclusive and evasive statement . So be careful and be wise

My house was about to be locked, just because I was not able to raise rent. I posted it on Facebook seeking for help, but all I got was 2likes and  0comments.
So I sent 120 messages to friends on my contact list, requesting for a loan of N400,000. Sadly, only 10people replied. 6 out of the 10 claimed they can’t help. Only 1 out of the 4 who said they could help actually gave me some money but the rest only gave me excuses and never picked my calls. Eventually, my house was locked. I have no where to sleep. I walked in the dark, seeking options and suddenly, a heavy storm carried me away. Fast forward, the next day, news quickly spread around that I had died. 2220people posted on my wall how they knew me. How great I was. A committee is formed by my “loyal” friends who quickly raised N1,200,000 via donations, to feed guests at my funeral. My colleagues at work teamed-up and brought another N300,000 for coffin, tents and chairs. I am buried in a coffin worth N100,000 but since they purchased it in a haste, they met a CARTEL who played the role of a middleman and sold it to them for N150,000. My relatives met, it’s a rare occasion for them to meet. For my sendoff they contributed an extra N150,000. Everyone wants to volunteer in order to appear they are helping out. The Youth also, printed T-shirts with my image, each T-Shirt costing N1,500. About 600 youths paid, so the T-shirt man makes N150,000 profit from my death. Everyone wants to speak at my funeral. There was drama all over from people who never knew how I survived. There was rumour that I was murdered by my friends. Also people falsely accused my successful relatives of sacrificing me. Wonderful speeches were made on how talented I was even those who never attended my events. The few friends who supported me in life didn’t get the chance to speak during my funeral although they knew the Truth. Infact, they are prime suspects in my death.
*Don’t show people love when they are gone. Show love to people while they are alive, so that they can appreciate you…

Michael Jordan was born in 1963, in the slums of Brooklyn, New York.

He had four siblings and his father’s earnings were not sufficient to provide for the whole family.

He grew up in a poor neighbourhood. Exposed to mindless violence and heavy discrimination in the slums, he saw for himself only a hopeless future.

His father saw in Michael, a lost soul and decided to do something.

He gave Michael, who was 13 years old, a piece of used clothing and asked: “What do you think the value of this outfit would be?”

Jordan replied,”Maybe one dollar.”

His father asked, “Can you sell it for two dollars? If you can sell it, it would mean that you are a big help to your family.”

Jordan nodded his head, “I’ll try, but no guarantee that I’ll be successful.”

Jordan carefully washed the cloth clean. Because they didn’t have an iron, to smoothen the cloth, he levelled it with a clothes brush on a flat board, then kept it in the sun to dry. The next day, he brought the clothes to a crowded underground station. After offering it for more than six hours. Jordan finally managed to sell it for $2. He took the two dollar bill and ran home.

After that, everyday he looked for used clothing, washed and ironed it, and sold it in the crowd.

More than ten days later, his father again gave him a piece of used clothing, “Can you think of a way you can sell this for 20 bucks?”

Aghast, Jordan said, “How is it possible? This outfit can only fetch two dollars at the most.”

His father replied, “Why don’t you try it first? There might be a way.”

After breaking his head for a few hours, finally, Jordan got an idea.

He asked for cousin’s helpto paint a picture of Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse on the garment. Then he tried to sell it in the school where the children of the rich study.

Soon a housekeeper, who was there to pick his master, bought that outfit for his master. The master was a little boy of only 10 years. He loved it so much and he gave a five dollar tip. 25 dollars was a huge amount for Jordan, the equivalent of a month’s salary of his father.

When he got home, his father gave him yet another piece of used clothing, “Are you able to resell it at a price of 200 dollars?” Jordan’s eyes lit up.

This time, Jordan accepted the clothes without the slightest doubt. Two months later a popular movie actress from the movie “Charlie’s Angels”, Farah Fawcett came to New York for her Movie promos. After the press conference, Jordan made his way through the security forces to reach the side of Farah Fawcett and requested her autograph on the piece of clothing. When Fawcett saw this innocent child asking for her autograph, she gladly signed it.

Jordan was shouting very excitedly, “This is a jersey signed by Miss Farah Fawcett, the selling price is 200 dollars!” He auctioned off the clothes, to a businessman for a price of 1,200 dollars!

Upon returning home, his father broke into TEARS and said, “I am amazed that you did it My child! You’re really great! ”

That night, Jordan slept alongside his father. His father said, “Son, in your experience selling these three pieces of clothing, what did you learn about success?”

Jordan replied, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

His father nodded his head, then shook his head, “What you say is not entirely wrong! But that was not my intention. I just wanted to show you that a piece of used clothing which is worth only a dollar can also be increased in value, Then how about us – living & thinking humans? We may be darker and poorer, but what if we CAN increase our VALUE.”

This thought enlightened young Jordan. Even a piece of used clothing could be made dignified, then why not me? There is absolutely no reason to underestimate myself.

From then on, Michael Jordan felt that his future would be beautiful and full of hope.

He went on to become the greatest basketball player of all times.

How can I increase my own value? I am finding it a very interesting thought. I am sure, you too, will.

Legends Never Quit

There are many reasons why God is silent, but I am going to touch on something he recently put on my heart. Sometimes God may be silent simply because he has already spoken to you! If you think about it, how can you accuse God of being silent when he has left you sixty-six letters, thousands of verses? There is no need for him to repeat himself. Aren’t you glad that the book of Genesis doesn’t say, “God said, ‘Let there be light. Let there be light’”?

If you and I had been there on that first day when God said, “Let there be light,” we would have been dancing and rejoicing from 6 o’clock in the morning until about 6 o’clock in the evening.

But suddenly, when it starts to get dark, we begin to panic. “Oh, no, I knew it wouldn’t last! I knew the light was going to go away. Maybe we’ve done something wrong. Maybe we weren’t reading the Word enough.”

The light fades away, and we spend the next twelve hours in sorrow — until the light reappears, and we realize that when God said, “Let there be light,” he didn’t mean that there wouldn’t be night; that there wouldn’t be seasons when we cannot see. He didn’t mean that we would always be able to understand everything that is going on in the heavenly realm. However, the light always reappears, and we see that what God spoke continues to be fulfilled without his having to speak again.

One reason God may be silent is because there is an appointed time for his Word to be fulfilled. One example of this in the Bible is Joseph, who was given the incredible promise that he was going to reign one day. He was going to be a man through whom great provision would be unlocked.

However, there was an appointed time for the fulfillment of the promise and he had to follow God’s plan.

Very soon Nigerians will go to Government hospitals and won’t see a Doctor. The health crisis in Nigeria is unprecedented as the mass exodus hits alarming proportions. Already it takes a new patient 2 hours to see a doctor on the average, 3 hours for new patients.
1. Over 100 doctors have resigned from UCH this year
2. 800 Doctors have resigned from Lagos State hospitals over 2 years. 100 this month alone
3. Kebbi State has been unable to employ a single Doctor in 2 years despite multiple adverts for employment
4. Over 200 Doctors and nurses have resigned from Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital this year
5. Nigerian has 80,000 registered Doctors. More than 50,000 are practicing abroad
6. 92% of Nigerian Doctors in Nigeria are considering finding a job abroad
7. 70% of Nigerian Doctors are making plans to leave for foreign lands and are taking exams to that effect
8. 236 Doctors wrote Primaries for West Africa College of physicians in 2017 to gain admission to Nigerian Teaching Hospitals, 5 years ago over 1000 wrote the same exams. 660 wrote PLAB to practice in the UK over this Primaries exam. Over 1000 have registered for the next PLAB.
Across the nation the story is the same. And the scary part is no one seems to be bothered.

Can u judge who is the better person out of these 3 ?

Mr A – He had friendship with bad politicians, consults astrologers, two wives, chain smoker, drinks eight to 10 times a day.

Mr B – He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps till noon, used opium in college & drinks whiskey every evening.

Mr C – He is a decorated war hero, a vegetarian, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink and never cheated on his wife and was a painter

You would say Mr.C

Mr. A was Franklin Roosevelt! ( 32nd President of the USA)

Mr. B was Winston Churchill!! (Former British Prime Minister)

Strange but true..
Its risky to judge anyone by his habits !
Character is a complex phenomenon.

So every person in ur life is important, don’t judge them, accept them.

..The same Boiling Water that hardens the egg, Will Soften the Potato!
It depends upon Individual’s reaction To stressful circumstances!

Here is a list of things you need to teach your Child(ren) at early age:
1: Warn your Girl Child Never to sit on anyone’s laps no matter the situation including uncles.
2: Avoid Getting Dressed in front of your child once he/she is 2 years old. Learn to excuse them or yourself.
3. Never allow any adult refer to your child as ‘my wife’ or ‘my husband’
4. Whenever your child goes out to play with friends make sure you look for a way to find out what kind of play they do, because young people now sexually abuse themselves.
5. Never force your child to visit any adult he or she is not comfortable with and also be observant if your child becomes too fond of a particular adult.
6. Once a very lively child suddenly becomes withdrawn you may need to patiently ask lots of questions from your child.
7. Carefully educate your grown ups about the right values of sex . If you don’t, the society will teach them the wrong values.
8: It is always advisable you go through any new Material like cartoons you just bought for them before they start seeing it themselves.
9. Ensure you activate parental controls on your cable networks and advice your friends especially those your child(ren) visit(s) often.
10. Teach your 3 year olds how to wash their private parts properly and warn them never to allow anyone touch those areas and that includes you (remember, charity begins from home and with you).
11: Blacklist some materials/associates you think could threaten the sanity of your child (this includes music, movies and even friends and families).
12. Let your child(ren) understand the value of standing out of the crowd.
13: Once your child complains about a particular person, don’t keep quiet about it. Take up the case and show them you can defend them. Remember, we are either parents or parents-to-be. And must share to all friends who have children

By Dr Bukola Williams

In psychology, it has been established that a child’s personality would have formed by the age of 5. This gives insight into how to relate with a child and as he/she grows up.
1. Be a parent to the child between birth and 12 years of age. This is when the spankings, etc can come in. Whatever you don’t correct at this age, forget about correcting later. Correct their perceptions, their orientations, etc. Be available to physically incorporate values into them.
2. From the age of 13-19, you are to be a friend to them.
Many parents want to do core parenting at this age range. If you didn’t achieve that earlier, you may not succeed outrightly here.
Note that one significant factor that can help the child at this phase is the God-factor. If they find God at this age or earlier, they will likely stick to Him forever.
3. From age 20 and above, the best you can be to the ‘child’ is a mentor.
At this phase, be an inspiration to him/her. Let your life inspire him/her. Let your marriage inspire. Inspire them to do things rather than wanting to push your way through. You cannot be adopting spanking and slappings at this age. That is if you are not slapped back. Because if you did a good job, you won’t have to be slapping a 25 year old.

1. Never stop praying for your child however old they grow. Never stop committing them to God’s hands.
2. Never stop being a parent no matter how old they grow, but don’t forget that life is in phases and maximize every phase of their lives by the right approach. Your child is not just the body you see but a soul with an eternity. Parents have a role to play in where that eternity would be.

The best time to do core parenting is between ages 0-12. You simply cannot afford to be too busy at this stage. Schools, nannies, extra murals cannot replace core parenting at this point. If you are absent in your child’s life at this stage, be sure someone else is shaping your child’s worldview .
At 12 a child’s curiosities are set. And they spend their teenage years exploring those curiosities and fantasies and experimenting with their identities.
If you attempt core parenting in teenage years, you will meet a brick wall and you might end up with a fractious relationship with your teen.
Your best mode as a parent of a teenager is to “befriend” them. At this stage you can’t take anything for granted you will have to earn their trust. Seek to influence them not control at this point. They will resist control but will respond wonderfully to influence: yours or the streets.
Every Nigerian parent needs to read this. So share it and continue sharing it. Its very important.
Quote me anywhere.
It was said that When Pele saw his father crying after Brazil lost the 1950 FIFA World Cup to Uruguay, he told him: “Don’t worry. One day I’ll win it.” The Rest is history today.
Last month, about 6 weeks ago, October 1st, our nation, Nigeria, celebrated 57 years of independence. Congratulations to our nation and everyone of us.
I had listened to and read diverse comments on the subject; from the street, political leaders, students, traders, religious leaders, government officials etc Unfortunately, many comments were quite negative and seek to blame Past and even present government for the country’s current position.
While you may not be the cause or even know how we arrived here, you and I must decide not to fold our hands and watch our nation bleed(this is even worse than seeing your father cry). We can no longer allow our nation to be a laughing stock when issues of nations are being discussed.
We have seen. We have heard. We have read books: history, geography, biography, autobiography etc. What have they inspired in us?
We must now have our own thinking. We can no longer wait. A better country is a better people. A better people is a better country. It’s about you and I.
We must firstly, learn to think and speak in the light of what we want to see in our nation. We cannot speak cursing words and expect blessings. Our words are seeds, irrespective of tribe, age, sex, education, political or religious belief, your words are seeds. What you say (sow) is what you will have in your garden(world).
Pele did not ignore the opportunity the cry of his father brought to him: he responded from within; he said (that was the Seed)
With all these going on in our nation, in your neighborhood and your world, what’s your response from within?
It’s inside you, let not fear hold you back. Don’t think of a better time or environment. It’s now. These promptings, pains etc are a sign that the iron is hot, so STRIKE! Strike now and strike well. Become that much awaited change agent today.
In any situation, always remember, it’s a season and you don’t have it forever, it is what you say or do that will be forever.
Nobody was there when Pele responded to the opportunity of that season but today it a reference point, it is quoted everywhere, it is used to inspire young people etc.
Rather than complaining, living in the pain of past failure, wont you rather train your mind, develop your skills and talent, leadership etc to win for us; win for us in sports, journalism, technology, education, global relevance, politics, commerce etc. Won’t you rather do something bigger and better with lasting impact with your life and time?
Start today and start now. You will be glad you did. The world will reward you for it. You will be remembered for it, your people may not appreciate but history will permanently honor you.
There is always a place for the man who win for others!
God bless the Federal Republic Of Nigeria
God bless you.

15. When a student performs well and patient gives a good feedback about them.

16. When you silently prove your clinical argument with good results.

17. When anyone at work says “Take some rest now.. You have been working too much”.

18. Qualifying for a medal/degree/publication of significant repute.

19. When you know that it’s not only the medical skills, but also your passionate involvement, speed and coordination that saved the patient.

20. When traffic police “Let you go” for minor offences just because you are a doctor, especially on the way to an emergency.

21. When someone says “I want to become a Doctor like you”.

There are many more. Every day is filled with both tears and smiles, and the doctor has to balance these by using his/her soul as the fulcrum. At the end of the day, death humbles everyone, but it is the doctor who stands to defend everyone else’s life without thinking if they are good or bad, friend or enemy.

Who will believe that money, home, family, cars, looks, luxury, and even love, romance are secondary joys for most doctors, after they have attended all their patient’s issues?

This pride is precious. The suffering a choice. The rewards immaterial.

A good doctor is the best a human being can be.

Enhance your character, my friend;
Prosperity may depart from one’s home,
Beauty may retreat from the body,
And today’s rich could become poor tomorrow.
Prosperity is like ocean surf; and wealth is an ocean wave,
They come and go from one’s home as they Pleases,
But, only good character follows one to the grave.
Money is not everything to someone,
Good character is the beauty of a mortal.
What if you are wealthy without good character?
Who would trust you with something serious?
Perhaps, you are a gorgeous woman;
If you are far from societal norms,
Who would marry you as a wife?
Or you are a fraudulent person;
May be you are well educated,
Who would transact business with you?
Enhance your character, my friend,
In the absence of character, education is a waste;
The whole world appreciates a well mannered person.

Very useful
In grave emergencies, your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.
1. Emergency Services
The Emergency No. worldwide for all Mobile Phones is 112.
If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and your mobile will search any existing network in your area to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. This works on all phones worldwide and is free.
2. Locked your keys in the car?
If you lock your remote keyless car keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button on the spare key, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.
Distance is no object. You could be thousands of miles away.
Editor’s Note: I didn’t believe this when I heard about it! I rang my daughter in Sydney from Perth when we went on holiday. She had the spare car key. We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!
3. Is your mobile phone battery flat ? All handphone have Hidden Battery Power.
To activate, press the keys *3370# (remember the asterisk). Do this when the phone is almost dead. Your mobile will restart in a special way with this new reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery life. This reserve will be recharged when you charge your handphone next time.
This secret is in the fine print in most phone manuals which we skip without realizing.
4. Disabling a STOLEN mobile.
To check your handphone’s serial number, key in following digits on your phone:
* # 0 6 #
Ensure you put an asterisk BEFORE the #06# sequence.
A 15 digits code will appear on the screen that is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. If your handphone is ever stolen, phone your service provider and give them this code.
They will then be able to block your handset so even if the SIM is changed, your handphone will be totally useless. And even if you don’t get your phone back, at least it can’t use/resold either. If everybody did this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
This secret is also in the fine print of most mobile phone manuals. It was created for the very purpose of trying to prevent phones from being stolen.
5. ATM PIN Number Reversal – Good to Know !!!
If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234, then you would put in 4321. The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location. All ATM’s carry this emergency sequencer by law.
This information was recently broadcast by Crime Stoppers. It is, however, seldom used as people just don’t know about it.

By Adam Khoo (Singapore ‘s youngest millionaire at 26 years of age)

Some of you may already know that I travel around the region pretty frequently, having to visit and conduct seminars at my offices in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Suzhou (China). I am in the airport almost every other week so I get to bump into many people who have attended my seminars or have read my books.

Recently, someone came up to me on a plane to KL and looked rather shocked. He asked, ‘How come a millionaire like you is traveling economy?’ My reply was, ‘That’s why I am a millionaire.’ He still looked pretty confused.

This again confirms that greatest lie ever told about wealth (which I wrote about in my latest book ‘Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires’). Many people have been brainwashed to think that millionaires have to wear Gucci, Hugo Boss, Rolex, and sit on first class in air travel. This is why so many people never become rich because the moment they earn more money, they think that it is only natural that they spend more, putting them back to square one.

The truth is that most self-made millionaires are frugal and only spend on what is necessary and of value. That is why they are able to accumulate and multiply their wealth so much faster.

Over the last 7 years, I have saved about 80% of my income while today I save only about 60% (because I have my wife, mother in law, 2 maids, 2 kids, etc. to support). Still, it is way above most people who save 10% of their income (if they are lucky).

I refuse to buy a first class ticket or to buy a $300 shirt because I think that it is a complete waste of money. However, I happily pay $1,300 to send my 2-year old daughter to Julia Gabriel Speech and Drama without thinking twice.

When I joined the YEO (Young Entrepreneur’s Organisation) a few years back (YEO is an exclusive club open to those who are under 40 and make over $1m a year in their own business), I discovered that those who were self-made thought like me. Many of them with net worth well over $5 million, travelled economy class and some even drove Toyotas and Nissans, not Audis, Mercedes, BMWs.

I noticed that it was only those who never had to work hard to build their own wealth (there were also a few ministers’ and tycoons’ sons in the club) who spent like there was no tomorrow. Somehow, when you did not have to build everything from scratch, you do not really value money. This is precisely the reason why a family’s wealth (no matter how much) rarely lasts past the third generation.

Thank God my rich dad foresaw this terrible possibility and refused to give me a cent to start my business.

Then some people ask me, ‘What is the point in making so much money if you don’t enjoy it?’ The thing is that I don’t really find happiness in buying branded clothes, jewellery or sitting first class. Even if buying something makes me happy it is only for a while, it does not last.

Material happiness never lasts, it just gives you a quick fix. After a while you feel lousy again and have to buy the next thing which you think will make you happy. I always think that if you need material things to make you happy, then you live a pretty sad and unfulfilled life..

Instead, what makes me happy is
when I see my children laughing and playing and learning so fast.
What makes me happy is when I see my companies and trainers reaching more and more people every year in so many more countries.

What makes me really happy is when I read all the emails about how my books and seminars have touched and inspired someone’s life.

What makes me really happy is reading all your wonderful posts about how this blog is inspiring you. This happiness makes me feel really good for a long time, much much more than what a Rolex would do for me.

I think the point I want to put across is that happiness must come from doing your life’s work (be it teaching, building homes, designing, trading, winning tournaments etc.) and the money that comes is only a by-product.

PDP around the world.

In all, there has been about 32 political parties by the name People’s Democratic party and one thing is common to them all in history.

They all didn’t last up to 30 years and less than 5% of all the parties can be regarded as successful. The most successful is the Nigerian PDP.

Most of the parties died as a result of rejection from the people they sought to govern or misused their opportunities.

Hilarious truth:

The people born between 1940-1980 in Nigeria and other African countries are the blessed ones… We are the awesome people… Our life is a living proof.

While playing and riding rented bicycle, we never bothered to wear helmets. We played marbles, steycions (seed of agbalumo; what is the English of agbalumo self: did you say cherry,?), skipping ropes, clapping (Ooya, 10-10), bojuboju ooo, tàlowá ni’nu Ogba na? Etc.

After school time we played until dusk but never watched the world (TV) by locking ourselves up in a room. We played only with our real friends, not with face book friends.

If we ever felt thirsty, we drank tap water, bottled water didn’t exist. We never got ill even after sharing the same juice or tree top with four friends.

We didn’t put on weight even after eating plate full of sweets, eba, amala, koko, Monday to Saturday (but on Friday at schools, dodo ati rice (raisi). On Sundays only, we had bongo ordinary tea with bread or yam. On special days (Xmas. New Year, Easter, Maulud Nabiy, Eidil Fitri/Ileya, we had Jollof rice (raisi) for lunch

We jolly well ate Saara anywhere with fresh chicken legs, head and wings, Turkey kę?

Nothing happened to our feet even after roaming and kicking ball made of rags bare footed. We never used any health supplements to keep ourselves healthy.

We used to create our own toys, omolangidi, we built our truxks with empty St Louis sugar carton and milk tins. Our school uniform was khaki, can you still remember pata olokun, pade mi lejika and full rubber etc?

Our parents were not rich, and they never chased after money.

They just searched for and gave only love.. not any worldly possession. We never shared our emotions by using emoticons in mobile phones.

We never had cellphones, DVDs, Play stations, X-Boxes, video games, personal computers, internet, web chatting, but we had many good friends.

We used to visit our friend’s home unannounced and enjoyed food with them. We never had to call them and ask for their parents permission to visit their home.

Loving people were near to us so our hearts and souls were happy. Hence we never required any insurance policy.

We might have been in Black and White photos but you find colourful memories in them

The Ultimate is that we are a unique and the most understanding generation, because we are the last generation that listened to their parents and also the first that have to listen to their children.

We are the last set of people to treck kilometers bare footed to school, carrying metal portmoto on our heads and yet carry our children to school in cars or by drivers.

The last generation to enjoy free public school education but the first to horribly pay to train children in private schools.

We had less homework in our days so we could help our parents in home duties but have to assist our kids in their homework who cannot assist parents or maids in home duties.

We are not special, but a *LIMITED EDITION* and I am proud I belong to this noble generation.

She gave her car key to the youngest child in the car while she went to buy some stuff in the mall.

Upon her return, the boy had misplaced the key and the whole family was stranded on the road. Observing her discomfort with innocent kids without a masculine shepherd, I joined the search party.

For each passing minute without the key, she landed the boy that had the key with a slap or a concentrated curse!

After few minutes, she strayed in frustration into a motorbike’s way and was knocked down. It was in the process of helping her up and picking the pieces of her belongings that the car key was found. She had already lost herself before the key was found!

Many people lose themselves in search of what is missing in their lives.

Many lose their moral limb while searching for the “missing rib”!

Some lose their health while searching for material wealth.

I know those who lost their message while searching for relevance and sponsors.

Some lose their marriage while searching for a mirage.

Some have lost their integrity while looking for affinity.

Don’t get missing because something was lost. Sometimes, you just need to ignore the emotional missing link so you can remain spiritually connected.

Don’t lose your mind because the job is lost.

Don’t lose your children while searching for their school fees.

Don’t lose your mantle while searching for a title.

When those things are eventually discovered or acquired, greater things (yourself, relationship, character, values & virtues) would have probably dissolved!

When you eventually hammer that deal, will your nail still be strong enough to hold the woods of your integrity in a proper frame?

By the time you get popular, will you not be strange to dignity?

By the time you get that visa or fame, will your passport to purity not have been torn?

When you eventually make the money, will your marriage/friendship/relationships still have meaning?

Ponder on these….

Stay blessed…

It beats my imagination that some people that are supposedly enlightened would derive joy in misinforming the ignorant. Very pathetic.

It was reported that a Reporter asked the Representative of World Bank in a forum what the Institution is doing to North Eastern ravaged by the evil activities of Boko Haram. In response, the World Bank Rep told the reporter that they are on course as the President even told them to shift focus attention to the North. Although the news didn’t quote the World Bank Chief with their achievements in the North as a whole or North East in particular, those that enjoy everything bad about PMB immediately went to town to insult the President with all manner of names.
In the last 17 months.

We are yet to know what the world bank has really done for the north. Buhari Fault Finders Association of Nigeria aka WailingWailers, pls help us with the list of northern projects

Anyway, under PMB, here are some projects in Northern parts of Nigeria ie. Abia, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra States.

Types Of People You Will Meet In A Bus When Traveling (Which one are u????

Let’s go and don’t forget to tell us the category you belong..

1. The Preacher
“Let someone shout Hallelujah” .. that’s usually their first statement.
The trip is usually long enough for a short service. So before you get to your destination, you guys would have done praise & worship, sermon, announcements etc.. some even add the offering session for you to support their ministry.
2. The Marketer
This set of people convert a cramped bus cabin into a moving Tejuosho market. They sell anything they lay their hands on from edibles and drugs to wears and gadgets. Their sugar-coated mouth can make you embark on impulsive buying leaving you stranded after spending your transport fare.
3. Mr Nigeria
This politician knows the past, present and future of Nigeria.. It’s always easy for them to get a chat partner discussing various topics ranging from the birth of Nigeria to the corruption in the land.
4. Co-Pilot
They have one common attribute… they like to sit in the front seat while doubling as the driver’s personal assistant and google map. They know how to tell the driver to overtake and maneuver but the interesting thing is some of them cannot even drive.
5. The Gentle One
You would only hear them speak twice throughout the trip. Their first word is “change” and the second one is “owa oo”. Owa oo is used to tell the driver you’ve gotten to your bus-stop in Lagos.. what is it called in your state?
6. The Super Sleeper
These ones can sleep for Africa. Before the driver puts the bus in gear 1, they are already in gear 5.
Some of them would have gotten to Ibadan before realizing they were meant to alight at Sagamu. Then you’ll see them begging for transport fare to make it back to their actual destination.
7. The Warrior
Don’t try the Floyd Mayweather in the bus. He/She is always ready to fight anybody on the slightest opportunity.
8. The Pilferer
Don’t gawk yourself.. because if you do, you might end up looking for your money, phone and/or any other valuables you’ve got. Imagine a pilferer sitting next to a super sleeper. Lol.
9. The Smooth Smoocher
While the preacher is preaching and the pilferer is pilfering, the smoocher will be busy smooching silently.
They always like the potholes and bumpy rides which helps them to tap some more current. This is one easy way to earn yourself a dirty slap in the bus.
I remember an elderly man smooching a lady inside Edo Line on a Port Harcourt to Lagos trip way back.. She only gave the gist after the man alighted. Despite pricking the man’s hand with her toothpick endlessly, he never gave up throughout the journey.
Story Times: Why did calendars skip 11 days in September 1752?
Have you ever wondered why most months have 30 and 31 days, except for February which has 28 days and 29 in the case of a leap year?
Although before Pope Gregory XIII developed the Gregorian calendar in 1582, other forms of calendars were in use. These calendars included the Babylonian calendar, which began each month with the sighting of a new moon and the Egyptian calendar that consisted of 12 months of 30 days. Each month consisted of three weeks of ten days each.
The Gregorian calendar, however, derives the names of months from the Egyptian calendar, which also has 12 months. These months were Ianuarius (January) 29 days, Februarius (February) 23, 24, or 28 days, Martius (March) 31 days, Aprilis (April) 29 days, Maius (May) 31 days, Iunius (June) 29 days, Quintilis (July) 31 days, Sextilis or Augustus (August) 29 days, September (29 days), October (31 days), November (29 days) and December (29 days).
The concept of timekeeping and recording, however, first emerged during the Neolithic Period, also known as the New Stone Age, which was the era from 10,200BC to 4,500BC. Many types of calendars were produced across the world by many civilisations during that era. However, preceding the Gregorian calendar was the Julian calendar, established by Julius Caesar, of the Roman Republic, as a reform to the Roman calendar.
With the establishment of the Gregorian calendar or the Western calendar in October 1582, the world came to know of a timekeeping method that included a year having 12 months with 30 or 31 days in each month except for February. The world switched from Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar because the former did not effectively translate the time the moon took to complete one revolution around the earth. The fault in the Julian calendar was spotted years later that it erroneously ignored the addition of 11 minutes of the solar year, thereby reducing one day from the calendar after every 128 days. The Gregorian calendar did not have this mistake and it was running 11 days ahead of the Julian calendar.
Many countries during that time were debating over which of the two calendars they should follow. Switching from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar was a daunting task. Some countries did it instantly, some did it after a few years, while many countries hesitated altogether.
A strange occurrence, therefore, shocked the world on September 2, 1752. Where countries including France and Norway did adopt the Gregorian calendar in 1582 and 1700 respectively, England and America (present day USA) followed the change in 1752. According to the Julian calendar, May 25 was the New Year’s Day.
However, since the backlog in the Julian calendar was so much that the year 1751 had only 282 days from March 25 (New Year) 1751 till December 31, 1751, which was the last day of the Gregorian calendar.
The difference in days between the formerly followed Julian calendar and the newly adopted Gregorian calendar kept going until September 1752 when it was decided by England and America, following the Julian calendar at that time, to align them with the Gregorian calendar. As per the decision of the King of England, George II, September 2, 1752, was to be the last day of the Julian calendar and that the Gregorian calendar will be in effect from the next day.
However, that was not the case. As there was already an 11-day difference, the day following September 2, 1752, was not September 3, 1752, but in fact September 14, 1752.
When people in England woke up on the morning of September 3, 1752 (which was September 14), they did not accept the change in dates. They held riots and protests, demanding the government to return their 11 days!
To reduce public agitation, the king ordered that despite 11 days being wiped off from September 1752, all workers would be given salary for these 11 days. This was the birth of the concept of ‘paid leave’ followed today by companies around the world when companies pay the salary to workers who are on a leave and do not come to the office during this period.

*Money Mistake 1:*

Never borrow money that accrues interest to start a business (except if you are paying for it through your salary); only borrow to grow your business. This is because business takes a long time to gain ground and begin making profit, yet most loans repayments have to be made within a month of taking the loan or even earlier. Therefore, never borrow money to start a business expecting that the business will generate income to pay back the borrowed money plus the interest.

*Money Mistake 2:*

Never spend money you haven’t received. Don’t even promise someone money based on a promise you have from someone else. If someone tells you: “Ezra, come to my office tomorrow at 9am and pick N3,000″don’t go out to buy items on credit based on this promise, with the hope that you will pay off your creditor when the promised money comes; it may not come as promised and this will leave you in problems with your creditors.

*Money Mistakes 3:*

If you want to save, whenever you receive money, don’t start spending hoping that you’ll save what remains. Normally what remains is zero because as long as money to spend is available, the numerous things you can spend it on are also available. And things to spend on even incite their ‘relatives’ so that you spend even more than you had planned. When money to spend is not available, we naturally find a way of doing without it. That’s why I’ve learnt to save in an INVESTMENT ACCOUNT. Once I send money there I assume I no longer have it. Before you spend any money, put your savings aside then spend what is left after saving.

*Money Mistake 4:*

When you get an opportunity to meet a very wealthy person, never ask for money. Ask for ideas on how to make money. They may even choose to give you money on their own after seeing that your ideas are great, but let getting money from them never be your objective.

*Money Mistake 5:*

Keeping your seed instead of planting it. Many people stop at saving. It’s very, very difficult to save and have all you need to maintain your lifestyle especially after retirement. When you save, your savings are seed; plant it. When you just keep the seed (saving money) some seeds begin to die (eaten by inflation and the like). That’s why I recommend that you read about the different types of investment vehicles you can use to grow your savings. I am not necessarily talking about putting the money in a business, because you can easily lose money in business. I am talking about putting it in an investment.

*Money Mistake 6:*

Never lend someone money you are not willing to lose. By the time you lend someone money, be contented in your heart that should the person fail to pay, you will not die. You should not even lose that person’s friendship if they fail to repay the money you lent them. If you feel the person might fail to pay you and this will not affect your relationship with them, then lend them money. If their failure to pay would make you hate this person’s entire clan, please advise the person to go to the bank.

*Money Mistake 7:*

Never append your signature to guarantee someone on a financial matter if you are not willing or able to pay the money on their behalf. Do I have to explain that one? No, it’s self-explanatory.

*Money Mistake 8:*

Avoid keeping money you don’t intend to use in the short-term within easy reach. For instance, don’t walk with N10,000 in your pocket when all you plan to do in a day costs N2,000. Like I mentioned in Money Mistake 3, there are always expenses available to gobble any money that is within reach, so if you don’t want to lose it, put it away in a safe place.

*Money Mistake 9:*

Avoid keeping money in inappropriate places e.g. in socks, under the pillow, in a pit, in the sitting room, in the bra, in a travel bag that you will place somewhere in a bus … impulse buying is a devil that will keep you busy!

*Money Mistake 10:*

Spending money on an item that you can do without (at least for the time being). These days when I pick money from my pocket or wallet, before paying for something I ask myself: What would happen if I didn’t buy this? If I find I can live with the consequences of not having that thing, I smile and walk away.

*Money Mistake 11:*

Paying an amount for something that’s not the minimum you can get that same value for. In other words, if you are at Spar and you pay N15,000 for a shoe that you can get at N3,000 at Rumuokoro, that’s a money mistake except for those who have achieved financial freedom.

*Money Mistake 12:*

Wanting to be the savior of the world by helping everyone in financial need. My sister, my brother, you are not Jesus. If you find it so hard to say no to a financial demand, you may think you are practising generosity when in actual sense you are committing (financial) suicide. We are not learning to be miserable here; we are learning to live within the boundaries of reality.

*Money Mistake 13:*

Consistently spending all you earn or more than you earn. It’s like having a drum where you have an inlet that’s smaller than the outlet. It will never get full. And should the inlet ever reduce significantly the drum will run dry. If you do it the other way round and the inlet is bigger, it will get full and even overflow. Hence, we have to always ensure we are widening the inlet while narrowing the outlet – all the time. Your side hustle comes in handy!

*Money Mistake 14:*

Thinking about short-term only and forgetting about long-term or thinking about the long-term and forgetting about the short-term. For instance, Lydia was told that there’s money in land. She saved money over a long period of time and bought 30 acres of land. Now she has the land but she is always broke. She is always complaining. She’s disgruntled and she doesn’t seem to see herself earning from the land in the near future. Now, let’s ask ourselves: Having 30 acres of land and no money to feed your family or take a child to hospital, is that wealth or poverty? I think Lydia only looked at long-term needs and forgot that she has short-term needs that require money. What of those who find they are one paycheck away from salary? Are they thinking about the long-term needs?

Let’s take stock of our finances. How many mistakes are you guilty of?

“Never Give Up in Sharing Good Messages & God bless you!!

Again we shall be entertained to the ritual of lengthy Independence Day speech, whose theme hasn’t changed in the past decades. The problems highlighted in the 80s speeches are still very much with us today, despite all the hope lifting messages therein.
Our fathers wrote about these rots, here we are writing about it, would our children write about same?
Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa wrote in his Independence Day Speech
“…I feel sure that history will show that the building of our nation proceeded at the wisest pace: it has been thorough, and Nigeria now stands well-built upon firm foundations.”

Five decades after, can we beat our chest that Nigeria sits on firm foundations?
Reading through the maiden independence speech, I saw fulfilment, excitement and hope. Not in their weirdest dream would our founding fathers have dreamt of an independence day when it is more appropriate for us to grieve than celebrate. Our compatriots are being massacred in their hundreds; the country is under perpetual siege with no end in sight, disarray in education sector, dwindling economy, and every other sector falling apart. The unity of the union is threatened more than ever.

At 53, Nigeria is far from where it should be, we seem to be moving without motion. By all indices, we are lagging behind our contemporaries, far behind! Gone were the days Nigerians travel to the United Kingdom for education, nowadays Ghana is the destination for our children seeking knowledge, so it is for healthcare. I need not bug you with the old story of how Malaysia got her Palm tree from us and used it in developing her economy. The Lilliputians of Africa are doing great; one wonders what use it is to be Giant with nothing to show.
The appropriate question to ask is how did we get here? But no, we all know that. My challenge to all is how do we leave here? Do we need to meet to renegotiate Nigeria as it is being canvassed in certain quarters?

Though the present is bleak, there is hope for a bright future because as former president Obasanjo rightly put it in the 40th Independence Day speech “all these wrongs are within our power and ability to correct. All we need to do is resolve to put things right! We will of course need God’s guidance and support, but, as is known and believed in all faiths, the Almighty will only help us to change if we ourselves demonstrate the will to do so. We can right the wrongs because we still have the country and the freedom to take our decision…”

I wish you all a better Independence Day celebration, when we shall look back; proud to see the challenges we have triumphed. An Independence day we shall truly be happy to celebrate, when we shall live up to our appellation, Giant of Africa.

I went to First Bank e-bank hall few hours ago. As I was about entering the hall, a lady ran ahead of me and pushed me away, so she could quickly join the long queue before I will get to the queue.

I did not say anything, she thought I will queue up behind her, but I was actually not there to withdraw, I came to deposit.

So I walked to the deposit machine and I was the only one there. No single person on the queue. When I finished depositing, I was about leaving the hall, when the lady came from the queue and apologized to me for pushing me away the other time.

With sorry smile on her face, she said: ‘I am sorry for pushing you away, I thought you were coming to the queue’ i just smiled and told her not to bother, that it’s not a big deal.

But since then, the lesson in this story kept coming to my mind, and I felt I should share it for us all to learn from it.

Friends, who are you ‘pushing’ away and trying to outrun in the race of destiny, relationship, business, ministry, career, etc? You think you are going to the same ‘queue’ (destination) unknown to you that, though your path may look alike, your destinations are different!

How many people have had to say ‘sorry’ to those they pushed aside, pushed away or pushed down when they finally realized that the person was not actually going to the ‘withdrawal machine’ they were running to.

Are you reading this and you are pushing people away here and there by slandering them, hindering their progress, blocking their promotion, spoiling their good names either through lies or rumor all in a bid to ‘get there’ before them.

I challenge you today, to take it easy. You might not be going to the same destination.

It might surprise you later that, with all the pushing away you are doing, they may still leave you on the ‘queue’ of destiny and go ahead of you.

Finally, are you reading this and you can feel people in your school, office, ministry, business, etc pushing you away so that they can get ahead of you? Don’t worry, God will use your case to prove to them that, “it is not of him who runs,

He will show you mercy and give you an overtaking speed and those who are pushing you here and there will later come and tell you they are sorry.

Please, push nobody! because you might not be heading to the same ‘machine’ (destination).

1. Never go to bed with your car’s fuel tank empty (No fuel). In case of an emergency, what if your good neighbour isn’t at home.

2. Never employ a nanny you don’t know her home. Some of them are child traffickers in disguise.

3. Never go to bed with your phone empty (No airtime). Most emergencies happen at night.

4. Do not stand or park your car under high tension cable especially when it is windy.

5. Do not attempt to start your generator with your phone torchlight as the source of light. As this could cause explosion.

6. Do not answer telephone calls in the kitchen when your gas cylinder is turn on.

7. Endeavour to crawl under the smoke if a house is engulfed by smoke, as walking straight could cause suffocation. Smoke mounts up.

8. If by mistake you swallow a fish bone, lick salt, and pull your ears while you cough out the fish bone.

9. If you are in any traffic or ‘hold up’, ‘go- slow’ as in local parlance, if you must remain in your car while it is not in motion, always apply your central lock.

10. Do not leave your children alone in the car with your dog or any pet.

11. Nowadays, never enter a lift alone if you must. So many are already gone through this.

12. Never leave your opened drink to take a call outside. It could be a plan to distract you. Many have been poisoned through this.

13. Never rush out to turn off the tap on hearing its sound in the night. It’s a new robbery trick to wilfully bring you out. Remember, you didn’t leave it running before retiring to bed.

14 Never rush out to re- start your Generator; if it suddenly go off: Robbers has been known to put off the generator of their target; in order to draw them out, so they can gain an easy access without breaking doors or burglaries!

Be security conscious! Don’t be careless!! Share with friends and loved ones if you find it important and educative!!!
