Nollywood actress and producer, Joy Anyim has allegedly been remanded in prison following allegations of theft leveled against her.
According to Akwa Ibom State Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC), the light in complexion actress was arraigned in Uyo, on October 7, 2016 for theft. She is said to be standing trial on a one-count charge of theft of the sum of N460,000.
According to online reports, the light complexioned screen star’s case was allegedly heard at the Magistrate court 6 in the state capital where she is standing trial on a one count charge of theft of the sum of N460,000 from a friend identified as Christopher Ibok.
It is believed the actress is facing hard times which might have resulted in her current predicament. She was remanded in prison until she meets her bail condition of N500,000.
The case was adjourned until October 13, 2016. The actress’ first marriage crashed in 2013 over allegations of cheating leveled against her by the husband.
Just last month, the actress’ second marriage to Niger-Delta big boy, Arc Joseph Etiebet of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) crumbled over yet another allegations of extra-marital affairs with a number of her male colleagues.
A popular online platform, GistMania exclusively revealed more details of the story making rounds online and it’s quite shocking, read below;

“The Enugu-born actress was renowned for renting entire hotels, guest houses and even clubs to fulfill her erotica desires. Uranus Hotel, Entry Point Hotel, as well as Uncle G Resort were some of the many establishments where she spent millions on extravagant and flirtatious parties and also as hideouts for her Nollywood lovers, as well as other frivolous outings.
“All these seem like ages now, as we have reliably been informed that the party loving actress is now living in hiding as she is currently being hounded by her creditors all over the town; which include her former car mechanic, cosmetic supplier, clothe supplier and her popular eateries.

“Her friends who spoke with us on conditions of anonymity expressed shock at how quickly her lovers who helped her ruin her first-two marriages under three years abandoned her at her trying times. Sylvester Madu, Prince Eke, John Ntah, Tekena and all her various other lovers-cum-suitors in town have all deserted her now that she is living like a destitute.
“Even her recent benefactor, cum lover, a prominent Alhaji at the Uyo Abattoir have since fled town for fear of being roped into her various issues. Joy Anyim was meanwhile remanded in prison until she meets her bail condition of N500,000 .
“The case was adjourned until the 13th of October, 2016. All efforts to contact her estranged husband proved abortive.”
